Thanks - already booked. Ground floor at that.

Hello all,
I know that we are still a bit early for this but I wanted to plant the seed.*Some of us "Westsiders" are going up to Chino Valley via Wickenburg, Yarnell and Prescott.*We welcome any of you to join us.
Here is the TENTATIVE Schedule: Depart from the Fry's Gas Station at 25371 N Lake Pleasant Pkwy, Peoria at (Lake Pleasant and Happy Valley) at 7:45. There is only a one hour delta and 30 miles between the routes but with a lot more turns and NO Freeways. A secondary Departure location at the Wild Horse Restaurant on Lake Pleasant Pkwy south of Carefree highway (8415 W Carefree Hwy, Peoria) will be available for anyone coming in via I-17... We promise to stop this time. LOL.
Anyways, enough*for now, I will repost with firm times as we get closer to the date of Departure.*
Best Regards,
Juan

Juan, I'm thinking I MAYBE join youse on your route. Sounds a whole lot better than all the I17 driving. As the time gets closer, perhaps you might want to make a separate posting, just to give the idea more visibility.

45 minutes is too long, where there is a viable alternative. I just never get the thrill of having oncoming traffic when I'm passing someone on an inner state.

Juan says my car has a new front suspension and handles like a dream. I have to get out to his place to pick it up. Apparently, some guy in Maricopa that worked on it years ago put the right upper A-arm on upside down and that was screwing things up. Little did I know. So I should be able to do Route 66 in something other than a JAFM. That will make Karl happy!

19 days, but who's counting. I'll be going the alternate route with whoever.
Juan, have you determined a lift off and location?

I'm definitely looking forward to Lilo's Westside Restaurant in Seligman. None of that SnowCap stuff for me

I toured the dam in 1984 and was mightily impressed! The engineering and workmanship is astounding. Do you have to purchase the tickets in advance? Enjoy!

Well we never know what time we will roll from the house. We will most likely head to Seligman to register first then to the hotel in Kingman.
Ill keep watching your plans on here.

Because we are adding two stops to this trip to visit friends in Williams and Ashfork. I will be towing, between the enclosed car hauler and dually, I will have lots of room for chairs and such. If anyone needs me to bring something.
