Default Rt 66 Fun Run's Acomin'

The Rt 66 Fun Run is April 29th and 30th, 2022. I'm going to make a run up to Kingman to scope out motels. I noticed on Booking.com that our beloved Red Roof Inn is no longer offering breakfast and their rate is higher than several of the other places. I'll enquire about the breakfasts, look at their rooms, look at their parking, and check to see if there is a group bargain rate. I'm thinking 15 rooms will probably be enough. I'll report back after I have the information.

"Go upscale and....". Bruce is obviously never been to Kingman.
Bruce there is no upscale in Kingman. There's a low scale and a mid scale that's it.

467 miles of smiles today, for me. A bit brisk in Kingman with it's chilly wind but the sun was nice. We looked at about 6 places and will probably just stick with the Red Roof. The manager is due back Wednesday and is to call me with a price. They are not doing breakfasts now, but considering what their breakfasts had been, there's not a lot of difference. All the other places had things we didn't like: too close to the freeway, too close to the trains, poor parking lots, overall crappy condition. Oh well, it was a good excuse for a drive. We saw a few Troopers on I40 and Rt 93 but they were generally busy with other customers so we were not sources of revenue today.

Manager still Sheetal Patel? Should want/need us after years of restricted travel.

The clerk at the Red Roof didn't tell me the manager's name.
Wonder what the percentage of motel owner/managers are named Patel?

John, good to hear that you and Julie will be going on the Rt66 run. Would be a good idea for you to get your Red Roof Inn room reserved before they maybe sell through our block of rooms.
