Default Bisbee/Tombstone 10/29&30

Hi Everyone, It came up on the Kingman trip and again this weekend in Winslow. The girls would like to do a Bisbee trip including the mine tour. I took the time to do a little planning and here is what I came up with. Depart Saturday 10/29 8 AM from the Chevron at Wild Horse Pass. Fuel stop but 95 miles down I-10 at Chevron 1570 W Grant St. Onto Vail to meet up with Al and Patty. Continue south to Sonoita for lunch The Cafe. Onto tombstone for Ghost Days. We'll spend the night in Sierra Vista and have dinner at Tandem Upscale Dining in The Windemere. Sunday we will head to Bisbee at 7:30 AM. We will have lunch or breakfast at the Bisbee breakfast club. Spend some time seeing the town and the attractions, including the mine tour. Reservations are required for the underground mine tour, so we will have to get a head count. Head home from there going back the same way we came.

Sierra Inn booking at Sierra-inn.com. $70/night + tax for King 7 available and $80/night + tax 21 available.

Bisbee is a great little town. Great artisans. I was working at Intel in late 1995 and went to Bisbee and Tombstone. Bisbee had a great little custom jeweler that made my wife a mothers' day ring.

I always thought if I had the ability to be a "snow bird" I would have a winter home in Bisbee and a summer home in Ouray Colorado. They are almost clones of each other.

I reserved a room. Don't know if I'll be bringing my sweetness so I have not signed up for the dinner or the mine tour. Plenty of time....

AccuWeather is calling for low 70°s in Sierra Vista the weekend we're invading. Mrs. Sweetness and I are looking forward to it. AS far as I know, us-uns, Bruce and Patty, Mark and Lisa, and Mike B. and Lorraine are all that's going. Anyone else?

Sorry but Patty and I cannot make it this weekend due to an unresolved conflict. Next time folks.

ANOTHER ONE BITES THE DUST!

Mark has bailed since he is having problems with his clutch. Probably headed back to Maricopa, again.

Highway closure this weekend: East bound I-10 SR51 to US 60. Plan accordingly.
