That sucker has paint on it !!
As most of you have noticed I have not posted much
in the last few days. I have spent the last 10 days preping
my GT40 for paint. Well she's painted !
I tried really hard to make it as nice as I possibly can.
I owe a lot of gratitude to my friend Ivan for all of his
help and advise. He has let me use his paint booth and
a large part of his shop to do the work.
Tomorrow I start the polishing routine. God I hate to
sand it just to polish it cause it looks soooo good
just the way it is now. I know that it will be much better
after it's buffed. I'm trying real hard to have the engine in
and the rest of it back together by next week.
I try and work on the dash wiring a little when I come
home. It's just about done.
As soon as I get it home I will post a few photos.
Hersh
PS.... Chad Johnson, Thanks for the titanium color numbers.
It is spot on and I love it. I hope that I can
get a photo of your Cobra next to my GT40 at the Fling.

Wow, that's great Hershal! I know you guys haven't seen me around for a while, but I always read up on what you guys are doing via the forum.
Anyway, congratulations on the next stage. I can't wait to hear that engine roar!

I stopped by Hershal's today....
The car is really taking shape. The body is beautiful. Hersh should have the front clip on by midnight. He has been working dawn to oil lamp time. He really is driven to finish before June 1st.
All electrical is run. Brake system, fuel system and cooling system done. Motor should be in middle of next week. He is waiting for the tranny and windshield.
He says he will try to post pics as soon as he can.

Jamo,
I'm smokin" alright and it ain't the good stuff !
Guys, I'm sorry for not posting some pictures. I will
try tomorrow after the front clip is attached. I got the
doors on today and the handles. I also painted the underside
of the clips and did some wiring today. Everything should
be on the car by tomorrow night except the rear clip. I
will put in the engine and trans before that goes on.
She's looking more beautifull everyday.
Hersh

Well, there's your problem! That mixture of road runner tail feathers, fermented cactus pears and sage brush just can't be good for you!
