Choke Me
Does anyone have an electric choke setup for a Carter AFB 650.

Bill, you live in arizona. Pump that throttle a few times, crank it over and let it run for 30 seconds. Wire that choke open. Easier than complicating your life. Scott

I live in Chicago, no choke, warms up in less than a minute in 40 degree weather.

Bill, when I lived in Alaska we had these little thing-a-ma-jigges that we pluged into an electrical outlet that came up out of the street. I know that it gets cool in NORTHERN Arizona but come-on, and electric choke! Boy, are you getting lazy in retirement. And for Jeff, I was born and raised in Chicago, I don't remember, which day of the year does it get up to 40 degrees ? AAAAAH CHICAGO - a great place to be FROM. John PS. My sister still lives there and I do get back at least twice a year. Seriously, it's truly a great city.

Chokes!? We don't need no stinkin' chokes...
I concur with the above gentlemen. I removed the chokes on my carbs and never had a problem starting the car, even when I was in Pennsylvania at 40 deg F outside. Pump the gas twice, start it up and crack the throttle for about 30 seconds to hold the engine at normal idle speed. You shouldn't have any problem.

My wife said the same thing - let it warn up for a few minutes. She is very good at adjusting to my idosycrasies. I am a perfectionist, she is perfect!
