Mike Foss's wife has stroke, is in Michigan
Hello to all Cobra owners and friends who know Mike Foss. Mike is a major promoter of Cobras here in Arizona and through out the country. Mike and Janet were married here in Tucson last fall and had a Cobra wedding. Janet joined Mike at the DVSFII last weekend and from there she went to visit relatives in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Yesterday morning in Grand Rapids she had a stroke. Mike flew out of Tucson last night and has arrived there to be with her. Presently our information is limited. Those of you at the DVSFII will remember Mike's silver with orange stripes Cobra, Janet is the petite gal who was by his side. If there is a Cobra owner in Grand Rapids could you please give the hospital a call and let Mike know that we are all concerned and praying for her recovery. John

John,
As you get more info can you please send it to me.
Do you have a name for the hospital?
And we were just joking with her last weekend at the Fling.

Mike, I have very limited knowledge about this. Apparently it was a bad stroke. I do not know which hospital she is in. Hershel has been notified, perhaps he has more info. I have Mike's cell phone number but don't want to call him just yet. Mike was at our coffee/donut event yesterday AM when they were trying to get a hold him. John

Thanks John & Mikie and everyone else for keeping Janet in your thoughts & prayers. I'm staying in a hospitality hotel next to the Spectrum Hospital in Grand Rapids. They're is a computer here and it really helps to have you guys to talk to. It's now day two of this ordeal and she's getting mannitol to reduce brain swelling. She seems to be more responsive and seems to be moving her right arm and leg today. Time will tell the doctors say. This thing happened totally out of the blue. She had virtually no risk factors, didn't smoke or drink, exercised, ate the right foods, no known family stroke history, and yet to get struck down like this at such a young age (46)is just more than her family can believe. Got to get back to ICU now.
Thanks for caring
Mike Foss

Mike I know that you were probably going Mach 5 Sunday getting out of town. Is there anything that needs to be done that wasn't accomplished before you left? Does someone need to get your mail, pickup newspapers out of the driveway, cover the Cobra things like that. Did you take a vehicle to the airport, if so all it is doing is acting like a teenager, just sitting there costing money. Can we get a set of keys and move it. From your last post it sounds like Janet is putting up the good fight and things are taking a turn for the better. Hang in there buddy this will work out. If there is something I can do on this end give me a call. (520) 298-5289 anytime.
Bill

Hi guys, Janet Foss is in the: Spectrum Health Hospital - Butterworth Campus at 100 Michigan St. NE, Grand Rapids, MI 49503. Her room can only be reached by relatives at this time. Mike can be reached at phone number 616-391-9212, he is in room 212 at a hospitality hotel across the street from the hospital. Mike spoke with my wife Aida yesterday, Tuesday, and said that there was some sign of improvement and movement in Janet's right side. Mike Foss I know that you will be reading this sometime today, Over the next few days you will be receiving a call and visit from Stephen Thomas of Alto, MI, which is about 20 mile southest of you. He is a FFR owner, our age. There are three of us here in Tucson that are retired and able to tend to any business / work that you need done here. I do wash windows. Please don't hesitate to call. Both of you are in our thoughts and prayers. John

From Paul and Ruth
Hello Mike,
We will phone you soon. Thanks to John researching things we have a phone number we can reach you and know the hospital where you are. Paula called us and then we in turn called John because he knows how to reach all the Cobra guys. If we don't reach you today please leave a message and what time is best for us to get you by phone. What is there to say? Words are difficult to express at this time but you know how much we love you and Janet. The medical profession does wonderful things now and I'm sure she is in the best of hands. We will talk to you soon.
