Thumbs up Seats

I'm working with a company in town to design a new seat for the cobra so anyone looking for a comfortable seat stay tuned in. I will have a set for my FFR in about three weeks and hope to have a couple of demo units for someone to try on the trip to the Spring fling. (Lyle?)

Default Why not just....

Adapt a Recaro seat?

Or use a standard modern sportscar seat with proper support?

Sure would make the job a lot easier......

By the way, take a look at my photo gallery for seats with real back support. They are the factory standard from West Coast, same as the old Kellison Stallion seats. The only thing they "lack" is a head rest/support...

anyone can bolt in a Miata seat or someting else. It is more fun to help R&D a truly fine seat. I'll post pictures when they are done.

Jerry, I'll be a prototype testee. I'll be going to Spring Fling and really would like to get some comfortable seats. ( really, I am getting tired of the lag bolt tip puncturing my right buttocks on every dip in the road) My only question is: will the seats extend above the back curve of the car ? Since we'll be leaving on June 17th, will the seats be ready? John

Default seats

I have Honda Prelude seats in my toy. The early models had a removable headrest and the latter were built in but very removable during the new upholestry stage. They have adjustable lumbar, recline, flip forward lever on drivers side for pass. seat and are DAMN Comfortable. You do need to build or modify your own seat tracks. I do have a different body than many of you -- but we are only talking about seat track placement. Photo in my Club album and will add better photo soon.
