Ahh I remember! the smell of the paint, oil burning off the pipes, watching all the gages and wondering if everything is ok. Hold it open to 2k while you adjust the timing, carb, and check the water. What a rush!! But wait....... You forgot about the first time you pull it out of the garage under it's own power!!!!
Congrats!!!!!

It's a GT40 crate motor. Was in the doner. Looks brand new. Cobra intake, GTP heads, Crane/Ford roller rockers, GT40 headers. there is a number on the rockers. Does anyone know if I can tell what cam is in it from those numbers. I was hoping it had a cam. Now there's no doubt. Love that cam idle!! The pics look like every other gocart . Yeah, the header paint burning all ads to the excitement.

The number that is on the Rockers is the Ratio of the rockers only, Fords are usually around 1.6 - 1.73. This tells you nothing about your cam, but to tune that puppy right, you will need to find out the specks. It will be hard to curve the Dist, check spring seat pressure, and all that fun stuff.
