That remind me when I had the silver one. I was sitting at the light on 43rd ave and Bell at about 10 pm facing West. And I decided not to go home just yet and I was first in line at the light and it was all clear down Bell in front of Bellair, light turned green and off I went through the gears. There are only two side streets running along Bellair for that mile stretch so I open it up a bit. About half way down I see these police lights wayyyyy back there. DAMN! I let off the gas and coast to 51st and wait, a damn police van. When they finally got there I pulled down 51st Ave. I can hear them laughing as they get out, this must be good. To make a long story short, the police officer said when they hit 75 mph they gave up and hit the lights hoping I would see them. We talked about the car and they let me go.
Looking back it was dumb on my part but I had only owned the car for a couple of months. But I guess you had to be there to see their faces. Thank God I didn't hit the nitrous or they didn't ask to see the trunk! Oh that blue bottle, that is my grandmother's oxygen tank. Since that was the second time of being pulled over for doing 100+, I took it as a hint and chilled out. When I had the silver one I kept it under speeds of 75 on city streets.
When Maricopa told me I had just blown by the DPS station I had a vision of me getting the Darwin Award after they pulled me over and took me to jail.
