Default From Karl

I got this email about a show this Saturday night ..

Our east valley group (AZ Veteran Rodders) that gets together at the Kmart at Power and Southern on Saturday nights is going to go to Tempe Kiwanis Park this coming Saturday and I thought that there maybe some Cobra folks that might like to attend. The city is having some sort of "Catch a Wave and Car Show" from about 3:30-7:30 and there should be a pretty good turn out of cars and spectators. There is a $5 registration fee that can be paid at the show and that buys a raffle ticket. The grand prize is a PT Cruiser and I think that there are several other pretty good items being given away. The cars are going to be parked on the grass and there is supposed to be shade. I've never been to the park so I can't attest but this is what I've been told.

Default Kiwanis park Car Show

Brian, Steve K. sez that cars should meet at the Albertsons at Rural and Guadalupe about 3 o'clock Saturday afternoon and then we all can leave for the park about 3:10. The park is at Baseline and Mill and the show is to benefit the Kiwanis Children's Charity. Steve also said that checks can be made out to Kiwanis or that he'd take cash for the entry / raffle fee either at the Albertsons or at the park. There's to be a specific area for the cars to be displayed.

Glad to hear that you got your engine ills fixed.

Karlos

Karl,

I'll try to make it and meet you at Albertsons, even if it is half way to New Mexico for me.

Mike

Ah yes, the Land of Enchantment. Fer Gawd's sake, hope you don't sweat!

Don't know the availability of liquids so I'd advise bringing something to hydrate the body. See you Sat. K.

Thumbs up Got Gas?

I know that this event is for a good charity, and we are glad to support the cause.

but, do not forget in the spirt of $4.00 per a gal gas. This is a "charity" event so, the gas, and supplies are tax deductible if you show up. I was more worried about mother nature allowing us to be dry!
