Vegas in November
Just found out about this:
http://www.factoryfive.com/table/ffr...ational03.html
I'm starting to make plans now, probably going to be a family weekend. Anybody from AZ planning on going?

Also same dates as the SEMA show. FF has a booth in the main bldg. SEMA is the BIG DOG of trade shows for the car world. You need a company or to be a member to buy tickets. Check with your Automotive links for tickets at 10 bucks for members. Had mine for months. Jeff C

Mike,
I think it would be a great run to attend and think I could handle the fuel needed to do a round trip also. Lets see about 4 MPG and an 18 gallon cell, well I can figure something out. WOuld love to go. Think the date works THANK YOU for the invite.
PS. Mike , What are he or where are the legends for the little icons when you start a thread (little envelope with lines or ..... Some have a black dot in center like a seal or something in the center. Not shown on legend at bottom of page?

Is this an event strictly for FFRs?
I won't have a car to drive there by then, but I am sure a lot of California Cobra Owners may want to mark their calenders for this event. It should be fun.

The car show is for FFR's only. Last year in Sonoma alot of non FFR's showed up but were not in the running for a trophy. This is a NASA event so HPDE and other NASA events will be open. The autocross is for Cobra's only. I think that it is an FFR only event. I would like to see it open to all Cobra's like it was at DV, even if the non FFR's had to pay a fee to run. I think this event is going to be a great weekend I know that the Las Vegas Motor Speedway is going all out to support this event and so is Treasure Island.

mikiec, excellent news! Might just be me and the wife after all. We'll probably fly up Friday sometime, still working out the details. My Mom is going to be have some major surgery coming up so I'm waiting to find out the schedule for that before making reservations or buying tickets.
The NASA events should be a blast and I'm looking forward to the $25.00 Spec Racer autocross deal.

Jeff,
Have Kathy drive the truck with fuel barrels loaded. We can stop periodically to fuel your car.

Those interested in attending this FFR event get you reservations in to FFR for the dinner. If you want Ginny had booked 5 rooms at the Palace Station about 1 month ago. I believe we still have 1 left. They still have rooms available. The cost is about 50/night cheaper.
If you want Ginny can book more. Email me if you want her to make more reservations.
FFR has a minimum of 50 rooms booked at Treasure Island.

Mike how much is the room you have booked? I found tickets to fly in Fri/out Sun for $130.00 ea. but I might change it to fly out Sat night depending on room rates.

OK, the wife is re-thinking her desire to come along. So, it's either drive alone, fly alone or catch a ride. If anybody has room and wants some gas $$s drop me an email.

Tell her to come...
All the wives will be there. Most of them will not want to spend the entire time at the track... so their going in together for a rental car to do what they want.

I'm tryin' Mike. She's adverse to flying, and even cheaper than me if that's possible. I'll let her know the plan.
Is that room still available and what's the price?

Save the cost of flying... Join the caravan driving up.
Rooms are gone. I have the info for you at home, or go on line and book at the Palace Station. Most of all the AZ gang will be staying there.

The caravan sounds fun, but how will I keep up in the 'Blue Slug'? ('98 Windstar)
I'll check out the hotel on the web.

For all of you guys that are not staying at the Treasure Island here is an update for your wifes. Treasure Island is located right next to the Fashion Show Mall. The Fashion Show is like the Mall from hell, Saks, Bloomindales, you get the idea. For a car guy it would be like a room in the Summit warehouse. Treat your wife, she's worth it, who know it might make your next car or project a little easier for her to buy into..

Chuck,
Ginny has already told me she will be visiting that mall. Thank goodness the trunk of the cobra is small and will have to load our suitcases in it for the weekend. Not much room left. With creative loading I can fill it all up.

I will be in Vegas that same weekend for a last fling for a buddy before he gets married. STRIPPERS AND BEER!!!!!
ok no strippers, just beer.
I plan on stopping by to see the cars on Saturday before I start the heavy drinking. See you guys down there.
p.s. don't even think you can take me in my Honda Civic, I will be adding a few more stickers on the windows so I should be gaining another 200 hp!

Mike, I'll mention to Ginny that most of the stores would be glad to ship her purchases home to her. Maricopa, I got a room at the Palace Station cheaper on Las Vegas Discount Hotels. com than the Palace Station site. Get a courtyard room so you can watch my car while I'm playing.

I will be happy to take your Cobra for a walk from time to time. Do a little autox in the parkinglot?
