ERA for sale
Well, we've decided to sell #11. The better half wishes to start a pediatric medical practice (she's a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner) and we will be able to use the cash for the business. If any of you know of someone looking for a real kick-butt car, direct them to the Cobras For Sale thread. Thanks.

I appreciate your interest. I figure we'll put our efforts into this new venture and, once that gets going, I'll probably get back into the sport. I was actually thinking about a coupe anyway, but you never know which way life is going to send you next. We had a minister once who used to say "If you want to hear God have a good laugh, just tell him what your plans are for the next five years." It's funny, though; it seems that all my life, just when I get a car where I want it, it's time to sell it and move on. Well, for all of them except the second Vette; that one I dumped just to get the POS out of my garage. But, I'll still be lurking around here for a while; I like it here.

Bob, at least you have experienced several different cars. You'll always have those memories.

Chopper, Sorry to hear about your selling the Cobra, however, the fumds will be going for a good reason. Good Luck to you and your wife. A guy down here in Tucson has just purchased an ERA. It is in parts and about 15 years old, the serial number is # 059. Do you know where he can get a builder's manual for that old a Cobra ? Also, what has been your source for parts? Thanks, John

Hi Bob:
Life has many chapters, and I am sure there are some interesting new ones ahead for you and your partner.
You should have no problem selling your ERA cobra. They are in high demand and a wonderful product, backed by guys who really care and provide a great support network. Used ERAs are not that plentiful. If No. 11 (sheesh how old is it?) does not sell here via the for sale forum, might I suggest Hemmings Motor News. When I was looking for a used ERA, every one I came across in Hemmings (there were not that many listed) was already sold by the time I made my call.
Also, might I advise, that this is a good time to get all of your paperwork, data and maintenance details and history together for the new owner and the registration process. Bills of sale for the drive train components, and the engine are often necessary for registration or re-registration.
I wish you and your wife the best in her new business. Let us know how this sale works out for you. Cheers.

Chopper,
Something you might consider is taking it to one of the local car shows. Nothing like having perspective buyers already looking at you car in person.
I sold my E.R.A at a show a couple of weeks ago and didn't even have a for sale sign on it. A guy saw it, wanted it and and made a generous offer.
I know you guys have some pretty big shows there Phoenix. Maybe that would be your best bet for a quick sale.
Good luck.
