Az. Cobras 3rd Aniv. party
What a great time- perfect weather, great food, fantastic people and getting to see about 25+ cobras. I want to thank everybody for making this happen with a special thanks to Hersh and Paula for opening their home to us all.
I was the very lucky winner of a hand made quilt by Ginny with the club Cobras on it like the ones raffled at the Fling this past year.
Paula said the group donated more toys this year than last for the Marine Toys for Tots Drive. Going to be tough to out do ourselves next year. What a great time !

Great time. Like DV says, I guess I'll always be "just a guy who loves these cars".
Here are the first 100 photos I took -- 100 PHOTOS
And the rest (11 more) are HERE
Enjoy.
Ben
P.S. -- Audio project to come next week...

I want to thank Hershal and Paula for again having us over again. Hershal, when it rains the drive way should clean up.
The weather is great with temp at 80 degrees. Total of 29 Cobras showed up.
The quilt brought in $180.00 for Team Jenny. We already raised $150.00 with the poker run.
Here are mine..

I also want to thank Hershal and Paula. Mikiec and Ginny for all that you do. Sharon and I had a great time. Today was the first time Sharon even sat in the cobra, and her 1st ride also. Thanks again.

Another thanks to Hershal and Paula for their hospitality. That was a great party. I would specially like to thank Hershal for the help with the radiator and the thousand gallons of his water it took to get it cooled down. It was cool and happy all way to the exact middle of nowhere between Phoenix and Tucson. That's where the bad gas we picked up at the Petro truck stop, stopped us like road kill along side of I-10 in the dark.
I also would like to thank the other Tucson Cobras that stopped to scratch heads about what to do now with us. And also give a proper salute to the rice burners who laughingly honked at us as they went by.
A $250 tow truck ride and an hours worth of towtruck driver conversation about everything from tires to dirt track stock car rac'n and we officially called an end to a long and interesting day with a cold beer.
Now all I have to do is pull the radiator and drain the fuel tank and we'll be ready to do it again. 200 miles can be tough out here in the desert.

My thanks too to Hershal, Paula, Mike, and Ginny and all the club members that made yesterday's party a great way to spend a Saturday afternoon. It was the first time I'd been able to attend and my wife Lynne and I had a good time. Sorry I had to bug out early but I'm certainly planning on getting to more of the club functions in the furture.

Paula and I would like to thank all of you for coming to the party and making it a fun time. 29 cars this year and it gets bigger every year. The burnouts on the drive were great and I know Ben got some good recordings.
We collected a whole truckload of toys for tots and that made the Marines happy.
So thanks again to all and Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all !!
Hersh
