Black Beast................
Scott your car is a beast!
I think that I gained 5-15 mph when you passed me on the straight..................... looked cool on the in-car vodeo as you flew by..

Boy I sure appreciate all the nice comments about me.
Scott
(course I know there was some other guy out there using my name)
Good times
I just might have to invest in better tires/wheels and perhaps a more useful rollbar and really have a go.

I was really hoping that John Panfil would have brought out one of the Backdrafts, but family commitments... Were there any out on the track? I sure would like to see how they handle. Anyone had one on a track?

Where were the backdrafts? With as great as they supposedly handle, you would think somebody would have had one out there. The real truth is that the brand does not matter, its set up and driver. The fastest cobra I have seen with actual transponder times at the east track was Nelson Garrison's FFR(since sold) at 1:01:40. Nobody even close to that time on saturday. Scott

Scott,
With all my complaining about my last instructor to Jim B. He went out of his way to schedule this event with Larry. I was at the head of the list as I really wanted to do run again.
Alas, the cards were stacked against me. On Friday I was informed that I needed to be at the office on Sat from 5 to 11am. Therefore, I missed the instructors sessions. I showed up to show my support for those running.
Never fear I'll do it again and soon.

Next Race Day
Hey, Mike, I'll join you just like last time. Don't want you racing without someone spinning out in front of you. Just want to show you how not to corner.

Great to see the AZ Cobras on the track.
How often do you guys do open track? Would love to retire out there in a couple of years if I can talk the Boss into it.
Meanwhile I'll have to settle for Watkins Glen and the high East Coast prices.

Bob,
That sounds good. I'll check the schedule and then check with larry to see if we can still get the deal.
Cranky,
Come on out. I'm sure Coyled would love to have you on the track with him. I'll let him fill you in on the open track stuff.
There are a number of the gang that spend considerable time at the track, running with ASRA, PASA and NASA.

Racer X:
Mark MacVittie: (One of the guys with a Bondostang) said that he is able to race 32 times a year - I didn't see any reason a Cobra couldn't do the same.

Just checked out the website for the track photographer, Cecil Walker.com, and noticed that he had posted several photos from the track event. If you don't see your car, call him or send an email and he will post yours. Dave and Merrill, you guys are the featured participants. Lots of shots. I bought some from him in the past and he does great work.

I saw the pictures. There are some very good ones. Didn't see mine though. Oh well! Pictures really good especially in the corners. Can't wait to do this again. 3rd gear all the way around

Hey Fitz...two things.
Write to Cecil and describe your car. He can then post yours onto his site. I'll bet he's got a bunch for you.
Third gear all the way around the track??? Did you incur some type of damage to your clutch foot that didn't allow you to shift?
