Default Tucson Tour, Sunday, March 14th.

On Sunday, March 14th the Tucson Cobra guiys will have a Tour of Tucson. We will stop and visit three places of interest and have lunch at a resturant. The time schedule is not firmed up yet, however, plan to be in central Tucson at 10:30 am. Lunch will begin about 1:30 pm. I can say that at least two of the places we visit you will not have heard of before. Everyone is invited, stay tuned for exact times and meeting location. John

Tom, Sorry to say NO about the date change. For some reason our Tucson guys seem to prefer Sunday dates for events. Also, I spoke to Mike Canning at the track yesterday and I think that there is someting going on in the Phoenix area on that Saturday. The tour will start about 10:30 am and end with lunch about 1:30 pm. The lunch is at a restaurant near I-10. Total cost based on an average lunch and beverage should be about $13.00 per person. If you come down plan to get gas at any of the truck stops along I-10 at mileposts 200, Pilot; 203,T/A; or 208, Flying J. becaus their prices are about 9 cents a gallon cheaper that here in Tucson. John,

Ginny and I are planning on being down for the event.

Just let me know where to meet. And, I'll need directions. You know how good I am with those

Hi, John. Great to see all you guys on Saturday. I might just join your Tucson day with my parts truck. Cobra won't be done yet. I'll just slap some meatballs on the doors and pretend I have a cobra with a lift kit and missing 4 cylinders. Did you happen to pick up my chair I forgot about (oldtimers disease)?

Bob, if your chair is an aluminum one with blue and white webbing then I've got it. Looking forward to seeing you Phoneix guys on the 14th. John

It was good to see you Tucson folk at the track last weekend, and I will plan to come your way on the 14th. Sounds like fun.

Phoenix, Gang

We should look into haveing a meeting spot and time for the drive down there. Any ideas? I'm thinking the rest area between Firebird and Casa Grande.

Time: depends on where the meet is in Tucson and the time.

OK guys, here's the latest on our Tucson event. We will meet at Mike Caruso's, 9102 E. Lost Tree, between 9:30 and 10:15 am for coffee and donuts. We'll leave there by 10:30 and meet the Phoenix guys at the STARBUCKS COFFEE ( Mikiec please note the correct place ) at Swan and SUNRISE ( Mikiec please note the correct streets ) about 10 :45. From there the tour will start. It is about 35 miles in length and will end near the downtown area for lunch at a resturant. Three locations will be visited, about 30 minutes at each one. There are points of interest for both the guys and the gals. I have just picked up a door prize so plan to give me a big one dollar bill as your entry fee. The total cost for the day should be less than $15.00 per person. Mikiec, I have also changed my recomandation on how to get to SUNRISE and Swan. Get off of I-10 at ORANGE GROVE ( exit 250 ) and drive east , it will merge with and become Skyline and then change into Sunrise, continue east to Swan, turn right on Swan and left into the shopping center, you'll see the Starbucks Coffee place on the southwest corner of the shopping area. Mike, I'm sorry if I didn't get the stuff correct the first time but I just drove the entire route twice today and noticed those two incorrect items. The route via Orange Grove will save you time as well as stop lights. We are looking forward to seeing you guys and wives again. The temps will be 82 degrees, remember: sunglasses, suntan lotion, and a hat. John

Bob, if you can make it for the coffee and donuts we'd love to have you and your son. Please give me a call, 520-825-9197, and I'll give you the gate code so that you can get into the gated community. We'll be there from 9:30 am until about 10:30 am. John

May not make it Sunday.

It looks like I have been kicked in the Ho Ho's by technology again.

We just installed a new backup system for our new computer system. We moved and upgraded our email over the last 2 days. We ran a backup on the files and the new backup software corrupted the volumn. We now need to rebuild from scratch.

Gonna be a long weekend.

Mike
