Mike,
Check over on FFCobra and do a search for under car exhaust. A guy in Switzerland did it. I believe he goes by Stefan.
You could also do a modified under car system like the one used on the 286 FIA cars. I know Gordon has done something like that.

Yeah Mike I've emailed with Stefan and seen the pics of his setup. His was temporary just to get his through the Swiss inspection so I don't know how practical it was. The biggest problem is that FFRs tend to ride a little lower than some cars, and with the solid rear axle I have a very limited range of where I can set the static ride height. I want the full 'out the back' set up of a 427 street car and want to still have some clearance or else I'll just stick with the regular pipes. I've seen Bart Carter's undercar set up that Gordon did, it's very cool but big $$s I think and more suited to a true track car.
I'm almost to the go-kart stage, just finished the brakes, waiting for wiring and a couple other things so it's time to get this figured out I guess.

Mr. Pink
Yes, I think the photos I saw were of your car in the paint shop. From memory the caption below refered to a spider or similiar?
Thought the colour combination looked good. Post a photo here of it finished??
Mikiec
The interest shown in the exhaust, was mainly due to the length. Thanks for this information.
My pipes are slightly longer with a 2 1/2 internal perforated pipe. I have added two perforated cones into the end of each pipe.
I found the design for the cones on a site there in the states and had my engineering shop make four up. The perforated cone deadens the sound somewhat and does not restrict the gas flow.
However, I wrapped the inner with fibreglass and sent them off to be coated. They came back f ed.
So, I re made them and used steel wool wrapped tightly but this has slowly burnt out.
So it's back to the fibreglass wrap and hand painting the pipes. The only alternative is to have the pipes coated and then put them together with out welds.
My gallery camera has a shot/s of the first set and the last set.
Sorry to bore you with all this but 'dB' levels of noise are becoming an issue here.
Cheers
Thanks again for placing the information and pictures.
Bernie

Bernie,
It's not boring to try and help a fellow cobra nut out.
Jim.
Nice pic.
Question.... Is that your back yard?

Mike, yes.
Gordon, it's now paved roads in Monument Valley. Right next to the fry bread stand.

That's no Photoshop job Gordon, that pic was taken during Pink's last 'adult' movie, 'He Wore a Yellow Condom'. Shot on location on the Navajo reservation (good access to sheep ya know!).

That's right Mike. That was the sequel to "Tonto Does Tuba City". One of my favorites!

Cobra sure looks good. The photo I saw was at a paint shop in California.
Millers' paint shop from memory.
Thanks for "Posting" the photo.
Good to have friends there
Cheers

Jim,
In the Tonto movie did you play Tonto? I remember a scene between LR, Tonto and Scout.

Mike, actually in that film, I played Poke-a-hauntess. Mike D. was Scout.
