Change the tranny to a wide ratio toploader, and change the rear gears to 3.07, and you won't need a 5 speed.
The new Tremec TKO's with closer gear spacing are like a wide ratio toploader with an overdrive. If you use a new tremec, and gear the rear appropriately with respect to 1st gear ratio, then you won't need the overdrive. If tremec made their tranny with gear spacing similar to a close ratio toploader, then you could use a overdrive for highway cruising. That is exactly what Richmond does with their 5 speed, it's kind of like a close ratio toploader with an overdrive. If you decide to get the richmond, opt for the 3.04 first, and gear the rear with eithere 2.88's or 3.07's.

"After jumping into an early lead, Miles pitted for no reason. He let the entire field go by before re-entering the race. The crowd was jumping up and down as he stunned the Chevrolet drivers by easily passing the entire field to finish second behind MacDonald's other team Cobra. The Corvette people were completely demoralized."
