Help Removing Body
Now that we're a bit settled and I've got my body buck together, I need to get the body off of my FFR so I can finish it up. If anybody is available on Saturday, 1/22, and you'd like to help, please let me know. That's the day I'd like to do it. Anybody that's done it before and knows all the tricks is especially welcome! My only experience is when we removed it right after Stewart delivered the kit.
Thanks.

Craig, I could probably come by if there's nothing on TV. Is there going to be the usual lunch @ Ruth's Chris that always follows body removable?

From the title of your thread ("Help removing body"), I was going to suggest my friend Vinnie Goomba, but hey, baddabing, I see I was mistaken!

Like Jim, I'm up for a ride and will be glad to come help. Let me know a time and address. "She Who Must Be Obeyed" will need a ride from the airport in the late morning, but I'm available in the afternoon, if that's when you're going to do it. Ruth's will be open by then.

I thought about putting a few Don Corleone jokes in the original post but since I'm new here and also Italian, I didn't want you guys thinking Jimmy Hoffa was under the hood or anything (we left him under the 50 yard line).
Ruth Chris, eh? Here I thought the 2.5 gallon jug o' water and Costco-size Ritz cracker box I picked up would cover us. Guess I'll need to rethink that!
And just to verify - I was talking about next Saturday, the 22nd (not tomorrow). I hope that agrees with everybody and that's what you were thinking. Thanks for the support - I appreciate all the responses. I'll send out some PM's with my address next week.

If people are still willing to help, I was thinking around noon on Saturday. I'll be out there earlier working on stuff so that's fine, too. I put my address in my profile. Thought that was a compromise between sending out a bunch of PM's and posting it on this thread. I also put my phone number in there so feel free to call if you need more info.
One last thing - My motor starts fine and idles decent but it seems a little high. If I turn it down, it will want to stall, though. Also when I start it, it jumps up to 3K before settling down. I know it's supposed to jump up some but not that high. I've never set the TPS after I removed all the smog and everything. So I was thinking of trying to set that, too. If anybody has the tools, know-how, and is will to show/teach me, I'd be very grateful.
Thanks again for your help.

What is a TPS thingie, does that go with the mufler bearing? Adjust in in until it starts to stall then out about a 1/4 turn....

Brian, I'm picking up my sweetie at the airport between 10:30 and 11 so won't be able to leave East Bumbscrew until about noon. If you want to leave that late, we can hook up, but otherwise, you might want to leave earlier and I'll just come along when I can. You know I'm always late, except on the strip. ha.

Everybody remember Woodstock? Chant with me, "No Rain, No Rain, No Rain....".
If anybody's coming up Scottsdale road to Carefree Hwy, there's still water across the road on Carefree Hwy just west of Scottsdale road. Not enough to worry about but enough for the car in front of you to spray you down once you're through it. If you know a back way, you may want to consider it. I haven't lived here long enough to be able to make any suggestions, though.
