Original Cobra Sighting?
A guy I work with saw a Cobra at a Starbucks in Scottsdale (Frank Lloyd Wright & 94th area). He said it was silver with black stripes and was signed by Shelby on the glove box. It had a classic vehicle plate (not sure if that means anything or if anybody can get one).
Does anybody know who this might be? Is it original or one of the continuation series?

That was Mikiec's, I stuck on a fake glovebox and scribbled CS's sig. on it.
Seriously, neither the sig. nor the plate means anything, Shelby will sign your wife's left butt cheek for $50 and you can get a classic plate for a replica in AZ.

Hmmm... I thought Shelby was particular about where he signed. I thought he hated all replicas. I didn't know he'd sign anything. I guess the appeal of $50 is too much!

Carroll signed several different replicas for free at SAAC Vegas in February.

I wasn't intimating that he pocketed the money, (usually the $50 goes to his Children's Heart Fund) just that he doesn't limit his sig. to CSX cars. You can mail him a glove box lid and get it signed.

Carroll will sign items for free or a fee. The money he collects goes to his childrens heart fund. I have a poster he signed in the garage. He did it for free, but we donated the money anyway.
The car you saw was a new SPF that has Carrolls sig on the glove box.
And, yes you can get classic plates on any vehicle here that is titled more than 25 years old.
Hi, Kris.. Missed you in Vegas.

Got one myself. Was told to donate a minimum of $250 to the Carroll Shelby Children's Fund. Had a lot of friends who did same. In the past it has been harder to get him to do it, but now seems easier. Anyway, I'm happy to have the sig for my car.
Cheers,
Steve
