Dave,
Is it done yet???
I'm not sure what the plan is. I have asked for info so I can get an email out to the group. So, far no-one, except Gordon, has come forward with any info. Gordon has an area set aside for club to park.

No but it looks a lot more like a car now than just a bunch of parts. It is on the road to being complete. Thanks Gordon(kiss, kiss). Kinda want to see the cars racing but would like to know wht everyone else is doing.

Dave here is the info posted on FFCobra.
From Dave Smith.
I say let's wing it for Fri night at In and Out. Sounds like a good plan... let me see if I have it straght so far.
Friday 8am - 4PM Track practice for racers and anyone is welcome to come hang out, however, most of the racers will be focused on getting their cars set up and I imagine most guys have a job...
Friday 7PM Action starts at 7PM. Meet up at In-and-Out Burger near the track at Dysart and I-10. Hang there for a few hours and decide on cruise at that time (is there a cool evening car drive-in type hang-out place that we can cruise to and take over?). If the parking lot is full at In and Out we'll deal with it at the time and go to another spot close by, leaving directions for any late comers.
Saturday ALL DAY Racing on track, car show and hang-out during day. It would be cool if someone checked with Levy to see how many people he can accomodate. I know after a day on the track a shower is welcome before a night of festivities. Maybe we can chow early at the BBQ and then meet up at another cruise site.
News: There will be some representatives of the press (Mustang mags Primedia and maybe C&D) and at least one cable TV guy there (nice guy from a show called guns and gear).
I am really looking forward to this. The only thing I'll really miss is the looks on the faces of the people at Carlisle when they see the new GTM and 4.6 powered car we're bringing. I saw the GTM this evening and I would love to tell you about it but I would then be killed in a suspicious fiery crash on my way home... These guys have done such good work and I am proud beyond words.

Dave, the only Cruise-In on Friday night in Phoenix is at 35th Ave and Northern. This is not the greatest area and not a great "drive' from the Dysart/I-10 area. Main Cruises, as you know, are on Sat night.

I am going to try to trailer my unfinished F5 coupe to PIR on saturday. We have not worked out all the details yet, and there is no drivetrain installed yet, but for anyone that wants to see the build in progress and suggest other modifications I hope to see you at PIR saturday morning. The seats should be in and the tilt wheel pretty much sorted out for anyone who wants to sit in it and check headroom/legroom etc.

Ok guys. I just returned from the track. There is an area set aside for the guys that are driving their cars out on sat. It is in the padock just north of the garage area. Enter the track at the first entrance, go through the tunnel vere left at the Sunoco pumps, You will see the venders area and the space next to the fence by the hot pits has been set aside.
There are 16 spec racers entered for the event. I believe that is the largest field of spec racers for a west coast event.
I am trying to put together parade laps at lunch for those that want to drive around the track. This will be at greatly reduced speeds.

Hey Scott. I think I will be there also. My favorite thing is gathering with other cobra owners. Better bring sun screen, looks like a HOT day.
