Memorial Weekend -- Pavillions?
With the temps descending a bit toward the end of the week, I was wondering what anyone might be planning for the weekend. We'll probably hit the Pavillions on Saturday. Thought about a drive on Sunday, but want to avoid the crazy traffic. Any thoughts?

Welcome to the HEAT!
Steve mentioned the Pavillions in Scottsdale, which is a bit of a drive for you but not too bad once you hop on the 101 and it is always a fairly large event wiht much more than Cobras. I am out in the east valley so anything down this way is even further for you and generally smaller thna the Pavillions.
I am sure that some of the guys on the west side will respond back with their hangouts but if not just shoot an email to mikiec at mikec@holsum.phxcoxmail.com who is the grand poobah of the Arizona Cobras ( www.azcobras.com) and is generally in the know on what's happening.

Hey Steve,
I'm finally got this weekend free and not having to do something for someone else for a change. I really want to take the GT out .
If it's the Pavillions then that's where I'll be. Look forward to meeting you there.
Hersh

Steve,
I'll see you there. I'm looking forward to seeing that new beast.
If things go right this year I may start building my next plane..A CH-701. All metal.

Looked up that CH-701. Gee, you gonna fly that out of the back yard??? I liked the cow paint job, though.
See you Sat...

Cobish,
There is a car show on 83rd ave and Beardsley every Saturday night. It is located in the Safeway parking lot.
Hersh, It's about time you are getting out and about.

Steve,
You can land that CH-701 0n the roof of a Wal-Mart if you had to. It gets off the ground in under 150ft and lands under a 150ft.
So what's it gonna be Steve? are we still on for the Pav or do we switch to the 83rd show? I'm ready for either. Maybe we can hit'em both.
Mikiec, are you gonna be there? and how late does the show last at 83rd ?
Hersh

Hersh,
I'll be at the 83rd location until 8 ish depending on the heat. Generally I get there about 5:30pm.
No matter where you go I'll be glad to know you are out.

Hersh, Mike, Fitz, et al:
Never been to the 83rd affair before. Would honestly like to go, but we're committed to the Pavillions this time, as Dixie wants to hit a few stores there, and we have some other friends coming, too. Thanks, though. We'll hook up eventually.
Cheers,
Steve

Sorry we missed you guys. Met up with Hersh and Jamie and Dave. I was there with my friend, Ken Harris, who has the red and silver version of the SPF Diamond Edition. Had a great time, and drove home after dinner in the wind and dust and traffic.

Steve,
Glad I got too meet you and Ken. Your Suprformances are outstanding! I figured it to be a little hotter than it was but it really turned out nice.
Mikiec I'll try and make the DQ run so that the Tuscon faction does get out of control.
Hersh
