Hersh,
I do not know whose heart is bigger, yours or Paula's but
she is the prettiest hands down. I hope to come by but have a few stops already on the other end of the world. What can we bring or even better send with an earlier arriving club member?

Hersh
For the older guys such as myself who can't remember anything, what is your address again?
When I go to bars I always ask the girls, " Do I come here often?"
Oh to be young and not have lapses.....

Hersh,
Wrong Way John, owes you a dairy Queen.
John,
How's the weather so far? Is the top working as advertized? I did not send directions to Scott only the address. If he gets lost it's his fault.
Ralph, Traveler Button sent me his phone numbers and said if you need halp along the way to call him. I'll put them in a PM for you.
By the way, How many wrong turns have you made so far?
Mike

Alternator Problem
Well, gang. My second alternator went today, on my way to Springerville for the "Chrome in the Dome" Car Show. Made it about 20 miles up the Beeline Hwy when suddenly "skreech" sound then burned rubber smell. Yup, time for number 3. Maybe I should spend more than 20 bucks this time, LOL. I'll see you all on Sunday with my A/C (Air Conditioned) vehicle.

Hersh,
Dixie and I might be able to make the BBQ if you'll have us. Will need directions, though. Looking forward to meeting up with the gang.

Good to see the group yesterday, meet the infamous Bernie, and good to see that I wasn't the only one mentally challenged enough to have driven their Cobra. (its a dry heat, but I was just a bit damp by the time I made the 50 mile drive) Paula and Hersh are excellent hosts and very kind to invite us into their home. Wish I could have stayed longer, but "She Who Must Be Obeyed" had made other commitments for me so I had to cut the visit short. Thanks.

Hey Mikiec, I am posting on top of this one, hope that you read this. So far I have driven over 4,00 miles in a week. The odometer is at 36,675 miles today. I am in Michigan at my son's, enjoying his family and the grand kids. I left the FFR Open House and made it into the middle of Penn. before I drove into rain and decided that I was getting tired of this rain stuff. On the trip east I left Kentucky and into Ohio and ran into rain only two hours into a 16 hour drive. The day was very long, the last eight hours were in steady moderate to heavy rain, I arrived in Boston at 1:45 am, I'd left Kentucky at 7:35 am that morning. The normal 15 to 16 hour drive turned into an 18 hour nightmare. The Cobra has performed flawlessly. My AVERAGE gas mileage is 23. 6 MPG !!! As for the top - It has a few problems so I left it in Kentucky and didn't have it during all of the rain. I met a nice guy at the FFR Open House who has 70,000 miles on his Cobra. The Open House was a nice event but was ruined ( my opinion) by the outrageously loud band which blasted out any conversation within 300 yards. It was nice to see all of the mods that the guys are coming up with, also some new suspensiopn stuff that looks excellent. I'll see Hersh in a couple of days in London, Ohio. John

Karl, it was good seeng you again. We really cannot count Scott as having driven, he trailered most of the way. Now, Mulv has big brass ones. He kept telling his wife 'it's not hot out dear.' I wonder if he enjoyed the couch last night. I left Hersh's house after dark. It was still hot but no sun beating down.
John, You are an animal. You have officially passed me in total mileage. Looks like you will make your 40K but the end of the year easily. Drive safe.
