Default AZ on fire again

Cavefree/ Seven Springs area.

Major fire raging now. Some summer homes in Camp Creek gone. Fire may be heading towards Tonto Hills sub division.

This area is about 11 miles north of where we have our annual picnic. That campground burned about 3 weeks ago.

Here we go again.....

Mike

Mike,

I watched that on the news last night. Hope they get it under control quickly, as now they have upgraded our fire alert to red again. The last two years have been really bad with a couple of days the smoke was so think we coudn't even tell where the sun was.

Jamo,

I liked your comment about Florida. Maybe we shuold all contact Turk for his answer to this.

Ron

I had to make an emergency road trip to Vegas. A friend agreed to take Jason or AZ JOKER his Spec Racer on Tuesday. This friend or Vic the owner of the Cobray I showed @ Knotts this year left about 3 PM for Vegas. At 4;30 I got an SOS from Nothing AZ. as he blew his engine and needed me to get trailer and Jason's car.
A local dealer just installed an intake gasket under warr. on his tow rig. About 80 miles from Phx. it leaked coolant into rear cylinders bending the rods so it got towed back to dealer.
We then towed Jason's baby into Vegas and delivered the next morning. You should have seen the look on their face with it now in their garage , it was great.
On way home we could see nothing but smoke on the mountains for miles. On the I10 hwy. about 20 miles from home you could see the fires running across the whole range Mt. tops with what looked like about 2 miles of solid fire. Very sad ending to a great feeling mixed with a ****ty/expensive trip. The good thing is Jason and Angelina have their Toy home.

Trularin,

The pic I posted was from a fire last year.

Jim, The rodeo was 3 years ago? Wow how time flies.

I was up at the boat this past week for a few days. They closed 188 going from Roosevelt lake towards payson towards the end of the lake. The whole area in there was burning. We didn't hear anything about this fire because of the Cavecreek area stuff going on. The fire make it to the road at a few spots. It rained hard for two nights but fires continued the next day. Looked under control when we came home but I saw a new patch of smoke half way to 87.

Roosevelt Lake in maxed out. Great place to go now. Of couse it you have to work....well....
