Photo's of Daytona Coupe progress
I have been traveling and vacationing with the family so I haven't done too much.
Tomorrow (Sat.July 9) I am hoping to remove the Engine/trans that I installed last week. If anyone is in the Chandler area about 9 - 10 am I think with a little help I can have the motor/trans out in 20 min. or so.If anyone is available I will supply the donuts and coffee. Sorry about the short notice,
E Furcone

Any help/suggestions would be appreciated,
Thanks

Motor is out, and it really did take about 20 mins. Thanks to Steve Mulvey driving his very clean 65 Mustang (no a/c) notchback. Now I guess it's time to start fabricating the new firewall and heat shields.
Again thanks to mulv for the help this am.

We got photos now.
Here are some photos of the firewall modifications I made to the coupe, big thanks to Matt V, MULV and Deepthought for the help and inspiration.
The modified firewall.
This is the extended pass side, I hope be able to mount heater valve, most a/c componets and wiper motor behind this cover.
This is the modified drivers side, the fuse block is under here and I will add a removable access panel. I will try to get all the extra relays, cruise control unit and other electrical componets behind this panel to give the engine compartment a nice clean look.
Thanks again to Deepthought,Mulv and Matt V for the help, ideas and inspiration.
Any questions or comments please post here or e-mail me at: mannyjoe@aol.com

Looking good.
If you quit taking Vacation days you could be finished before Mike D.

Manny,
Your Coupe is looking good. Are you working in an air conditioned invironment ? If you aren't then you're superman..
I've been hoping for the temps to drop so I could work on my GT but it looks like it's gonna stay hot for awhile.
What's your projected done date ?
Hersh

MJ
When you need to put the engine back, let me know....
Bernie, you're lucky you left while the weather was still spring like. It is really hot now and it rained at my house last night... luckily that has cooled it down so it will only be 113 (45C) today and now I can go outside and play tennis for 3 hours starting at noon... yeah, sure....
Hersh, he doesn't have any apparent A/C.. I think he may be part Finn with the sauna thing going. MannyJ is an ironman for sure. Methinks desire has a lot to do with sublimating self preservation...
The car is super nice guys.. we must plan a launch party for it. I will supply the beverages...
Steve
