Route 66

I was watching the History channel this AM. A program about Route 66 was on.

The program traced the road and history of the road. In the last 10 minutes they were showing footage from one of the Fun Runs going from Seligman, AZ to Goldenshores, AZ. This section is the longest continuious stretch of 66 left. As I was watching I see the cobras of Lyle and Paul G go by. A few frames later there is my car with me and Ginny blasting through. All three shots lasted less than 10 seconds, but we are on film.

I saw the same thing last week. Thought I saw your car and picture in one of the shops. You were speaking in Spanish instead of broken east atlantic english

Now Mikie and his silver Cobra are movie stars......too bad they didnt catch you on film having an " emotional " day.....

Hersh, and I were watching the same programe and we were identifying the many street rods etc, when we saw the Cobras.

Can I now say I was mixing with the stars there..

Awesome, Mike. Haven't seen the show - I'll have to keep an eye out. History channel does a lot of repeats so I wouldn't be surprised if it plays again soon.

Mikie is real big time now. He is also on the FFR DVD. he is seen cruising by ever so smoothly so the camera stays on him longer.

I guess when you have it you flount it. What it is he has I'm not sure of.

What is our schedule for the next Route 66 run? Or do we have one? A friend and I are interested in making plans to attend.

Steve, the Route 66 Fun Run is the first weekend in May each year. Here is a website from 2005:

Bob is correct on the date. Come and join us. We have a ball. 13 -14 cobras along with 700 other hotrods.
