Default Registration...Bill of Sale...TAX?

I'm just curious. If I was lucky enough to buy my car for say $12500 and that's what my Bill of Sale says. Should I have sny problem?

Thanks.

I don't fully understand your question. If you buy a kit from out of state you won't pay any tax to that state , HOWEVER, Arizona will tax you for the amount you paid for the kit when you complete the kit and go to register it. If you buy a completed car from a private seller you don't pay any tax. Does that answer your question ? John

If you are in Tucson come out and join us this Saturday morning for a breakfast drive up to Mt. Lemmon. This is a social event and a Cobra is not nesessary. John

Is that ture?

(Sorry I don't mean to be cryptic, I just don't see any reason for paying tax(more than I need too) on a car that has already been taxed the first time it was bought)(It strikes the taxation without representation nerve)

Thanks. I don't know if I can go up the Lemmon slowly enough to be "social". I sort prefer it around 6:30 AM on a weekday with the sportbikes and no traffic. But, thanks for the invite. I'll see if my significant other is up for it

Good morning, I kinda' dosed off and forgot to respond to your question. We will be meeting at the McDonalds on the northeast corner of Tanque Verde and Catalina Hiway ( road to Mt. Lemmon). We will meet at 8:00 am and be gone by 8:15 am. If you miss us there you can meet us at the "Iron Door" resturant across from the ski lift. I called the DMV and they confirmed that there is no sales tax when purchasing from another private owner. I live in Catalina and can be reached at 825-9197. John

If you bought from a private party there will be no tax assessed.

Mike

I bought my Lister new from Beck/Avanti in Georgia and did not have to pay any sales tax in AZ when I registered it. Maybe I was just lucky...
