Carpet Glue-cleanup
Hey gang...
I have removed some of my carpet from my FFR, in order to replace it.
What is the best and easiest way to remove the old glue from the aluminum panels.

I've had good luck with Goof-Off but it might not be up to this challenge. Got to do it with the garage door open, though. Beware of the pink elephants if you don't.

Try a bit of Gasoline. 3M makes an adhesive remover also that works pretty well.

I have the 3M remover and it works okay.
Call a auto interior shop, that's what I did.

Stop in at your local auto painter supply store and ask for 3M ATR 38080 adhesive remover...That stuff works great and with little effort.

I had some brake cleaner on hand.... Tried it. Works great.
Now off to get some 3M 90 spray adhesive.

Thanks for the tip, Mike. I tried the brake cleaner to get the goo off the edges of my tunnel (decided it was worth the effort to take it off for the drivetrain installation). Worked great. The engine/transmission is going in today. 3 more weeks (maybe) for the lights, though. Guess I won't be taking it to the picnic.
