Default Car Goodie Bag

If you had a normal small goodie bad in the trunk what would suggest having in it. I have often asked this and get different suggestions. Hell, when my car had problems it was just the rod though the oil pan. I am looking for those little problems that shut you down. I want to carry a small bad. I guess the first thing on the list is a roll of duct type even though I an not at the track. What else. Remember it has to fit in a gym bag.

It is truly amazing how much stuff you can stick in the trunk. Get some plastic tote boxes .... they work like a charm

Default trunk space

As you can see in my gallery, I am limited and don't have that sort of space. Half my space is radio related....

Cheers!

Fitz,

Good point made by Warren above.

Always remember,

A friend will come and get you out of jail.

A true friend will be sitting next to you saying, "That was awesome!!!"

Cheers!

All good suggestions. I am on the other hand a complete dumb ass when it comes to mechanical, engines, etc. Other then a few tools that match up to nuts and bolts I have tightened over ther few years, calling AAA (most trucks can not get the car (FFR) up because they are so low) I carry a can of "fix a flat", very few tools. I guess I would carry more, many that have been mentioned, and hope someone else knows what the hell they are doing. I like the idea of carrying: duck tape, very few tools, can of fix a flat, ignition switch, fuses, replacement belts and cash. .........for bourbon.

Thanks all for the suggestions..

Hey Gang!
Long time no talk....
Well very interesting question, I would rather pull a distributor on the side of the road than have my car towed into the next town... But anyway I carry a small tool box full with everything I might need. One key element is what is going on with the car at the time I leave. If my solid rockers have been moving I focus on those tools, or if my car is running hot I would bring different tools.
I always carry rain gear because in these cars you can't go with out. The other thing is my box of jets and a plug wrench, you never know if the carb is going to act up.
I can not say I have never broke down, but the green machine has never left me stranded....

Brian

Default Tool bag

Thanks Brian, I always hope, if it ever happens to me, that you guys with knowledge, are around. I guess that is reason we travel in groups. Those long hauls always worry me because I am one of those guys that just wants to call BMW or AAA and tell them their car died..fix it. With a cobra you really have to be a car guy...and I am not. Put the key in, hopefully it is in "N";floor it!

Steve,

Think I'll just travel with you and Warren can follow in case we break down or need the bottle opener..

Then again after travelling with you to Santa Barbara, Palm Springs and back it may not be safe changing lanes.. if I let you drink out of the bottle. So I'll bring some glasses and ice..
