Default Da DRAGS

Saturday morning, December 2nd, the Scottsdale Exotic Car Club is having a meet at Speed World and anyone is invited. The entrance for non members is $40 advance and $45 on the day. I'll check with the track owner when he gets back to town next week to see what turnout he expects and what the restrictions will be.
Who is interested in having a little fun in the sun? Jeff C, I can almost promise I won't get you kicked out again.

Mesa Dave, Speed world is just east of LA. Definitely a nice little track. I've had several people tell me that their surface is far superior to Firebird's and the people there are not nearly as "difficult". Its just about 70 miles from our side of town.

I spoke with Victoria at Speedworld yesterday and she told me that the last time the SECC got together, they had about 50 cars, they all go to make as many rus as they wanted, and it was side to side racing. I mentioned the tech thing and she told me that I should talk to the SECC guys and then to the track owner to get the straight scoop. How many people are interested enough to actually show up? I'm thinking it would be a fun way to spend a Saturday.

I'll be there making a few passes. I hope we have a good cool dry day with low DA.

These guys are all very cool and into racing. There should be a twin turbo Viper or two there along with several modified 996tt Porsches in the 600 to 800 HP range. Also the Mercedes V12 twin turbos with mods run good. You'll probably see some high 10s out of a couple. Other than that I bet there will be a pile of other awesome cars making passes from C6 Z06s, Ferraris and Lamborghinis. A guy I know with a Mclaren SLR Mercedes should be there. Even if you don't race it would be worth the $$$ to watch and get some good video and pics.

There's a couple issues with club day that I didn't care for: normal tech rules and there were a lot of cars there, which really cut down the number of runs we got to make. With the SECC and a bunch of Cobras, there probably won't be even 100 cars, so getting lots of track time should be easy. Some people (Mikiec) use a lot more track time than others.

Dave from Mesa,

No sweat on the helmet. Two choices: I can take one to Karlos this Saturday at the Kmart or if Brian is going, I can give one to him anytime as he lives close to me.

Karlos, Brian??????

Am pretty sure I will be at Kmart on Sat. Either way will be fine. Or, if you are going to the drags you can bring it then.
thanks

Eric, I won't be at the Kmart show for a couple weeks since I'm basking in the grayness of Detroit. Mesa Dave mentioned that he'd probably be there and he is semi-reliable, even though he has a tiny leetle ford engine in his car.
