Yarnell Hill videos
Here are a couple of videos from Saturdays Yarnell Hill run.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bYUuqbt206E
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wqctX8DL_7Q
This was my second run with the group and it was nice to meet new folks.
It was a shame we were held up by people the believe 20mph really means 20mph. Great run up the hill, bad news is that I lost my hat on the way down
17, bounced it off Karl's cars nose.

What a great day for a ride. I put 275 miles on and didn't even go to Jerome and Sedona. By Prescott, I was thinking that maybe I'd scrubbed enough rubber off my tires since I'd smelled tires smoke a bunch of times pushing the sled around the curves from Yarnell.
sorry I didn't catch you hat but maybe with it gone, the Cards will start winning. Right!

Cards? Did they play today. Look for Green to get fired this week or next week if they loose. Steward and I had a blast going up the hill. Most fun I had in a long time. We waited for you guys going out of the square downtown Prescott but maybe missed you one street or something. JoEllen told me I should have pulled off the road right before going into town. Oh well. It is Mikiec fault anyway.

Is it an illusion or are there other Cobras in front of 136 climbing Yarnell Hill? That must be a first, I'm surprised the car didn't eject you!
It didn't look like 100 on the straights either! Is something wrong with the car? There are more gears you know....
How odd...
Steve

Steve,
Sorry to not uphold the fine tradition of 136 but the sun was in my eyes, worried about running out of fuel, had the wife with me, ummm what else . Actually, I was having so much fun driving up the hill for the first time that I wasn't too upset at the slow traffic infront of the group. Made it difficult to utilize the full potential of this fine auto. Think I was under the influence of Karls scruffing tire smoke.

Jeff..
Sounds like Steve sold you a defective car.
Fitz... I take all blame. I really wished I was with you guys instead of working.

Great videos. managed to click onto a third video featuring a white Cobra Mustang crash..aaaah
Mmmmm. Perhaps you guys should ask Hershal about our little trip in the GT40 through the hills.. We were heading home to Phoenix from London Ohio. Ask him about a young lady in a black Thunderbird..
I'll let him tell the story over a beer when you all next meet...

Jeff,
Those videos were great . Thanks.
Sorry everyone I could not make the trip.. I am sure I would have love the ride and the company . Karl, thanks so much for the reminder and the info it was helpful. I am looking forward to the nov run against/to tucson right?..
I was so sad I couldnt make the run after seeing pics I took the cobra out today for an errand or too (you know me.. no time is better then the present to take the cobra out.. even for a errand in the middle of the day.. right?) Well I started on my errand and then half way to the errand I decided .. why not.. I know this great place in TUCSON.. and I am quite hungry ... so I took a turn and off I went... crusin along .singin to the ipod...had a bite at the old resturant and turn back around ... and came home... (many thanks to the truckers that gave me a sweet honk and a thumbs up).. I must say it was fun and I think I killed like 1 bazzillion bugs.. whoops... well That was my Monday... and no.. I got nothin else done either.. and never got my errand done..
By the way.. when I was on the road today..lets say about 11ish heading north on Cave creek.. I saw another cobra.. blue and white like mine.. dont know who it was but licience plate read ... wedidit.. any clue? .. and yes.. I did wave .. cuz I am good like that..
Karen..
p.s. As I told Karl, sorry for the lapse in apprence but have been workin on my 62 lincoln cont. convert.. Had to replace all sorts of gaskets and workin on tranny now.. uggggghhhhhhhh I wish I knew more about cobra engines though... ..

I forgot to mention that when "The Stewart" and I were motoring up the hill we were going in reverse most of the way. Mulv is right. Cobras should never be following anything but another Cobra toy. A small push on that right side pad on the floor makes the cars gettttiiiiiupppp. Karl could have just floored his toy and jumped one of the "decline" areas. No Problem! Yellow lines are for scuffing. Double yellow are for screeming wifes. "What dear, I am a ass...what" "Use what brakes"? "Watch out for that rail" "Just go under the truck bed"....."I need to use the rest stop""'
