Anniversary party
Yes, I know it's early...
This will be the last party hosted by Hershal. Hershal is leaving us and moving on to a quieter life. I want to make it memorable for him and Paula. Last year we had over 90 attendees and 40 Cobras. If possible I would love to double that in Hersh and Paula's honor. They have gratiously open their home to us for the past 5 years.
I am thinking this year instead of 'Toys for Tots' we should do something for the Children's Hospital. I'll know more about that soon.
Oh, the date... It's fitting that the last Hershal hosted party be on the same exact date as the first gathering at Gordon's shop. December 9th.
I'll have an email out soon.

Mikiec, thanks for the advance party notice. The Tucson Cobras will be represented by their largest number ever.

Mikiec,
Hell, would love to be there again...
Had the Arizona black Cobra shirt on the other day and had a few comments about how good it looked..

Mike,
If you are raising money for Phoenix Children's Hospital NOS would be in for donating some parts for raffel or silent auction.

I was thinking for NOS Motorsport's part we could donate some of our billet a-arms or some seats. But in order to turn them into cash we would need a cobra owner who need the parts and would be willing to purchase them. We will also be happy to make a cash donation. My uncle and I are always looking for worthy causes. I just thought if some suplliers/manufacurers got in on the fundrasing with some parts we could build up a nice sum of money.

I think the idea of auctioning donated items is a great idea, that will allow the highest donation amount possible. If the kind heart wanting the item makes a donation directed to the Childrens Hosp. rather than sending the money to our club chapter they can get a full tax deduction.
Cathy and I for Cobras N Vettes would be honored to donate (4) or 2 pair of polished stainless quick jacks. The stainless polished finish is so rich that I think the look is nicer than chrome. I sell more front or rear pairs than full sets so I am open to your thoughts about if they should be offered as set of 4 or 2 pair. Just let me know what you need me to do. Each year has been better than the last thanks to the hard work of THE CREW in the background and I would like to thank them each. Ya know who ya are !!!

Guys...
I like this idea, beats the heck out of what I was thinking. I'll start working on it when I get back to Phoenix.

Mike,
Let me know if I can help. My wife sits on a few charity boards here in Phoenix so I know what it takes to originaize something like this. As I said NOS is in for a set of a-arms or what ever you think might sell, and I am sure I can dig up some other stuff.
Give me a call if you need any thing 602-400-7725
Thanks
MK

Mike,
I also know people at Phoenix Children's Hospital because of work (one of my clients underwrites their annual Water Safety Day each spring). I can put you in contact with people there if needed.

Mike,
Are you still planning on having people bring items for auction? Also, this will be my first year attending, are there directions posted somewhere? Thanks.

Mark...
What we do is have everyone bring a new unwrapped toy for the Marines Toys for Tot's program. The Marines will be there to collect.
We also have a Yankee swap if you chose to participate. Some places call it a White Elephant.
As John says.. Google the address.

Guys I'm not likely to make it Sat. but I have the new AZ Cobra shirts and sweats done. Is there someone on the NE side that can take them for me? (2 boxes) Pink will be there to distribute them, but his car is full up.
Hate to miss both the party and the harrassment over my car (yet again ) not being done but this season has got me scrambling like mad to keep up.

Too bad this is the final gathering at Herschal's. We'll be up with the rest of the Tucson group. I assume there's still a mandatory burnout upon entering??
