Default Motor Help Needed.

I could use some help here from someone familiar with the situation.
302 w/old style Trick Flow pedestal heads. I am replacing the lifters (got a dropped one) and putting on some new rockers. Never done a pedestal head with the shims and all and I'd rather not tear this thing down more than once.
I'm open any evening this week if one of you could drop by (51 and Shea area). It's all opened up and ready for the swap.

Dinner's on me of course.

Maricopa...I saw no response to your post but I'm sure there must be someone in the neighborhood that can help you. I am not familiar with the Trick Flow heads so can't help you myself. I have replaced lifters on one build and inspected and installed the old lifters in a second build. Sounds like you may need some new pushs rods too and you might need an adjustable push rod tool to determine the exact length. Have you tried to reach one of the engine builders in the area? Thanks Mike. No offers yet but hopefully soon.
Doing the lifters isn't a big deal I've just not done the non-adjustable rockers before. As I understand it the stock length pushrods will work (although I've gotten differing opinions there too) and I have a shim kit with the rockers. Just would like to have someone who's done it before on hand.

302 - install all the new lifters after soaking them in 30 weight for a day. Place the push rods into the holes with "red snotz" on both ends. Place rods over valves and push rods coated with "red snotz". Run bolts down snug and then put 1 turn per bolt until they are all the way down.

They are not adjustable.

This is my opinion.
