Looks to be a very good price, and if Gordon built it you know it was built right.
Cheers!

Ok, I got the car back and there were no major problems.
I got pulled over in Quartzsite when I stopped to get gas. The officer told me that he pulled me over because I was wearing a helmet. I told him that I didn't believe it was a law that you can't wear a helmet while driving a car, since it is promotoed while riding a motorcycle, and if it really does restrict your view, why does the government promote wearing something that can get you killed?
He said he would look up the law. Does anyone know if it really is a law that you can't wear a helmet while driving a car?
He also wanted to know where my license plate was. I told him it was right there on the back of the car. He disagreed. Apparently I had been going so fast that it blew off the back!
So now there are just a couple of rivets and some torn up aluminum back there. How do I fix this?
Another issue is the horn is not there or not functional. I don't even know where the horn button is. There is a botton on the turn signal handle that activates a relay somewhere, I can hear it when I push the button, but nothing happens. I'm guessing that is the horn switch. Could it be somewhere else?
Are power brakes an item that you would recommend putting on this car? After the long drive and the hard to push brakes, I almost put my head thru the window in my Jeep this morning....
Hope to see you guys out somewhere soon,
Steve

If it had a stock FFR bracket on it... They do break off. I have a fix for you.
1' x 1/4' x 12 inch piece of aluminum. Drill and tap, you'll be good to go.
Not sure about the helmet thing.
Power brakes are not needed, you will get used to switching between vehicles.

A helmet? Too much wind? Next thing you'll be wanting a hard top, like that Fitz guy. ha. Oh, I just thought, maybe you have hair to deal with.

Well, I kind of wanted to get out of the sun for a while, too. I also put headphones in the helmet so I could have some tunes.
Yes, I do have hair, but it's disappearing....

Oh yeah, I forgot to ask, what do you guys do about a dust cover for the car? Is the a custom fit cover, or do you just go to autozone and buy something that is close?

Dust Cover?
I used the one from my wife's Honda Civic Hatchback. It fit the car perfectly. I believe that Beverly Hils Motoring Accessories has a Cobra cover.. Finish Line probably too... The Civic mirror socks actually lined up perfectly...

WTF!
Grab a clipboard and walk around the car. There will be a test later.
[1] My license plate came loose too!
[2] Trunk henge pins came loose also. You have to remember this stuff is english.
[3] Door latch comes loose over time.
[4] You will hear noises too but usually nothing to worry about.
[5] Didn't Gordon take you for a 130 mph test run explaining eveything to you as you went down the street with you toilet paper in hand?
[6] Found over time you have to push the brakes hard and the car will usaully stop quickly. I thought about power brakes too for wife but not much room under hood with other stuff.
[7] Cops have a rule about helmets. If you have ear phones on the outside of the helmet they let you go by. It is like a concealed weapon thing!!
[8] Horns don't mean anything because you can not hear anything anyway.
[9] I just bought a normal blue cover. I found I don't use it because I have no room in the trunk anyway.
[10] Get some driving shoes and watch that temp gage
You are going to worry about this toy for a long time............

There is no dust in AZ. We have rocks, large radiator bunnies in our grills (ask Mr. Pink) , elkjackoroo road kill, and the occasional out of control smoke/fire raging in all sorts of neighborhoods.

Mmmmm the Honda car cover ehh..
Now I seem to remember the bed covers over cars there...
Works well I usually use the Motel bed covers when leaving the Cobra outside over night at a Motel.
Keeps the frost and prying eyes away..Keeps it warm and dry.. ![Too Cool](http://www.clubcobra.com/forums/images/smilies/icon6.gif)
