You guys are funny.. I'm new to the Cobra community in Arizona and curious about what sounds like a Heber run that you're talking about. If that's what it is, can you send me the info, please?

Thanks

Dan, the July 4th parade in Heber has been lots of fun. I think there were pretty close to 20 Cobras last year, about 40 or so Corvettes, and the typical small town assortment of groups and displays. Don't know where all the people come from but they line both sides of the highway for over a mile and beg us to do burnouts. Last year, the law men told us that we couldn't do those any more. Maybe they'll forget about the warning this year? I'm sure they would be understanding if someone got a leg cramp and accidently smashed the gas once or twice. Jim Olsen (Mr. Pink) has always been extremely hospitable in the past and invited us to a Friday night party and Saturday breakfast at his cabin in Heber. He's selling the cabin and I don't know if history will repeat itself, but if not, there are several restuarants in the area. We've gathered at the Sawmill Motel, where most of the Cobras stay, to watch the excellent fireworks display and eat pizza, Saturday night . Its a nice ride and the temperatures are at least 20°s cooler. Hope you can make it. The parade will be Saturday, June 30th this year. (yes, I did get a kickback from the Chamber of Commerce)

Default Motels

I do not know if they are booked but the Phone #'s
are 928-535-5053 and 928-535-4598. The first # is the newest motel.

Dave and Fitz,

The Best Western is sold out. This is where we are staying.

There are others but I do not know their names.

Mike

Depending on the weather, we may drive up and back. Then again it may be 125 and everything on fire like few years ago. Remember all those cars sitting on the highway that had wheels stuck in the payment it was so hot. Those of you that weren't there, Mike has pictures of the cars running though the fire. Nothing like driving though fire with full fuel tanks with no top....."those cobra guys, they are crazy". That lady with the straw hat that caught on fire, she was just sitting in the car watching the fire works.........

Well, I guess I'll see you guys on Friday 29 June. Late in the evening. I'll find the Sawmill Motel.

For anyone that hasn't been to Casa de Pink, be sure to ask Fitz for instructions about the best way to get out of the drive way.
