Default No driving for awhile

Well, it's time to get the hood repaired. I'll be taking the car to Gordon's this weekend and leave it in his capable hands. I wonder if it still under paint warranty??

Anybody up for a run to Gordons Saturday AM?

Mike

Mike,

Think there is a spare one at Hersh's. He's even been doing it up, new seats and all for you..

John,

Last October my alternator grenaded sending parts of the old Alt bracket into the hood. First time I have ever been stranded on the side of the road in 43,000 miles. Happened 2 miles south of Nothing, AZ. I have replaced the Alt and newer style bracket. Wanted to wait until summer hit before getting it fixed.

Mikie, I'll run out there with you and can drop you back home if you're going early enough (8-ish?). Give me a yell.

Keep the faith Mike,
I saw the damaged spot and the repair of the glass is no more than an hour billable time and bodywork/prep and time to prime is maybe another hour with paint - color sand and clear coat color, sand and then buffing adding another hour so a grand total of 3 hours. Not a big deal to set you back to good as new.
Of course there is cure and set up time needed between some stages so you can not expect it returned in 3 hours but Gordon will take care of ya and do a great job. I think he painted her the first time and she has held up well. Exploding Ford parts are something only you could experience. Hang in there. Jeff C

Mikie, Heber is only five weeks away.
I'm still hoping to be able to get a motel room, which would mean that the Pinkster hasn't sold his cabin by then. That would be bad luck for him but good luck for me. Sure hope its 190° by then for the drive up there.

Mike...

Second thought that sounds like a good idea. Where do you want to meet?

Anybody else in?

Mike

We could meet at my place if that's not out of the way for you (take the 101 to the 51, etc. If not then somewhere off the 10 is fine too.
I wanted to go early only because it's gonna be 157º or something and with Gordon being in Tucson an all it's bound to be a warm drive coming back.

Are there any freeway closures scheduled for the weekend?

First of all I'm not in Tuscon I'm in Maricopa. Second, I bet it won't be over 140 or so. Third, Mikes car will be done way before Heber.

Maricopa...

Email me directions to your place. It's been awhile. I'll be there about 8:15am

Gordon, I have faith in you.

Sorry Gordon, anything South of Awatukee is officially considered North Tucson. Or at least part of Casa Grande.
Nice of 'em to name a town after me though!

Email on the way Miguel.

Well, The car is at Gordons shop for cosmetic surgery on a major zit.

Thanks to Mike D for the ride home.

Dave you are to late for Heber. The hotel is sold out. This will be our 4th year doing the Heber parade and fireworks show for the 4th of July.

Mike

No problem Mike, it was a nice drive out to Senor Levy's.

We're planning on going to Heber also but will probably come home that night unless Pink lets us sleep on his porch.
