Thumbs up The Show Low Show

Just a quick post to say that we went to the Show Low Show and was really surprised at the quality of the cars and the vendors there. They had alot going on. Plenty to see and do during the show, There must have been a hundred vendors there ranging from car parts to hamburgers,
There were craft booths as well as delicious fry bread vendors,
The cars that were in the show were A-1 with a variaty to please all.
Jeff classic was there with three Cobrays that were stunning to say the least.
He also took home a boat load of trophys which he well deserved.
Jack Hammond showed up too but with out his beautiful red Cobra. He was there camping in the cool pines of Pintop.
If you haven't been to this show then you need to put it on your list for next year. It was a blast and worth every dime spent.

Hersh

You are meant to be out riding your bike and not worrying about food vendors, hamburgers and bread vendors....

PS Will ring in the next day...

Hersh,
Thanks for the plug for Cobras N Vettes and our Cobray-C3. This was our first time at this show but will now be on our schedule. It was great to see you and the lovely Miss Paula. Everybody at the show were just so friendly and eager to offer any possible help and seemed happy to just have you there.
I was very proud to have our customer cars trophy so well. You did not mention you also took best of class with your car, congrats!! I think they accepted 240 cars this year but not sure of the final head count with all first class cars. The weather was an extra treat with the highs running in the 80's and a a crisp low around the mid 50's I guess. It was a good time and a good show, see ya there next year.

Thumbs up

Hi Bernie,
Yeah mate you're right about that for sure but I haven't figured out
your secret yet for passing those good things by. You working in a McDonalds must be even harder to resist.
I saw a cartoon the other day where two policeman were escorting Ronald McDonald out of the resturant to a squad car handcuffed, One officer said to the other ... Yeah, they found out what was in that special sauce.

Hey Jeff,
It was a blast. Might have been the last show for me there as I may be moved to Texas before long.
I'll give you a call sometime this week.

Hersh

Default 4 wheeling GT40

Hey Hersh,
I was a little surprised you took the 40 out 4 wheeling the night of the race. Also surprised you were so fluent in that second language, I was told people in the next 3 or 4 rows heard you speaking. O.K. the real story is we all went to the dirt car races in Show Low on Sat. night and Hersh drove his GT40. After leaving the parking lot into dirt parking it turned into the Baja with ruts deep enough to loose small kids in. Just to get back to pavement Hersh had to go 4 wheeling for a ways and was dragging the whole time.
Now that you have been home and had time to check did you do any damage to the car? PS, Any chance you may want to do the Pavilions this Sat? I am asking the crew to see if any desire by others as well Let me know.

Sorry Jeff, no Pavillions this week. I have a Honey Do List a mile long.

No damage other than a few scrapes on the front clip but you can't see that.
It would have been OK if they would have used regular size gravel instead of boulders.

Hersh, happy to see you are approaching a new mileage record in your GT40 replica. Is it more miles than your Cobra now?

Well man and beast did go to the Pav and it was HOT. I met up with Steve Mulv who brought his #57 Stang. Vic brought his Cobray and mine made up 2 of the total or 4 Cobras I saw. I did not recognize the 2 other cars and did not find the owners when I walked over. Nice cars though.
I was a little surprised there were not more cars tonight I know only the crazy ones come out when it is hot...... but it is a dry heat !

Hi Bill,
Yeah, I've been to more cruises this year than the last couple years. I have just over 4,000 miles put on the GT this year. The poor old Cobra hasn't seen more than 10 miles the last 4 years. I ordered some new parts for the cobra and soon I will start a refurbishment. I miss driving it .

Fitz,
My GT would feel like a pedal car compared to your HP monster.
