Default Phoenix Area MVD experience.....

Everyone here said go to the Scottsdale and Bell Road MVD for no hassle service..
Well, That is close to a 40 mile round trip at early morning rush hour for me (I needed to get to work asap after the DMV trip) Well, Wednesday I decided to go to the 59th Ave and Bell location, (1 1/2 Miles from my home) I was there at 7:10am, first in line. ( I have had an out of state inspection there previously, I know where to park) At 7:50, a guy with a MVD shirt comes out, asks is that my kitcar, he told me it would need a level two inspection...I explained that it just needed an out of state inspection, he said move it out of the level one area, that it would need a level two...(He did not look at the car, the title, the vin etc) After watching him boss around a few other people, I elected to leave....

This morning, I went to the East Bell road location, was GREETED in a friendly manner , the car and the paperwork were inspected, I was in and out in a half an hour with a new AZ assigned vin, no hassles, really nice people all around ! ALL THE DIFFERENCE IN THE WORLD ! \

Getting your Cobra inspected, two years plates, $70+ Getting treated like a human..PRICELESS !

I think Russia had a problem way back when and solved it quickly. Too many bbaururracraatts with attititudes. These government people are getting out of control and time to change all elected officals out so they can rest awhile and rethink their assignments.

This is so common to find certain locations applying difference requirements. It is a dam joke.

What we need today is President Teddy R oosevelt to get the american spirit back, President Wilson to put the cabash on the treason speaking left and someone with a boat and car to be our spokemen. Anybody out there?

Now back to car inspections and cobras.

Sometimes, you just gotta say it! "I TOLD YOU SO!"

When I got ready to register my out of state car, I read horror stories like yours about the DMV office on Greenfield. I elected to go directly to Scottsdale without passing GO and without arguing about my $200 or level II inspections.

I'm glad it finally worked out OK for you though. Congratulations.

PhoenixCobra,

Congrats. Will we see you at the Saturday night cruise in? On our side of the world it is in the Safeway parking lot on 83rd ave. Actually 83rd turns into Lake Pleasant Blvd. From Bell go north on 83rd. until you see the Safeway on the left. About 2 miles.

Talking Cruise Night

Thanks,
Yes, I am planning on attending the cruise get-together, hopefully meet a few of you, and I also need to shake the hand of Andrew Rosales if he is there with his beautiful Coupe. He was the one that told me about this site on a Saturday night, a few weeks ago. I came home, checked out the Cars for Sale, found SP01862, arranged a purchase from Steve Cassani, who recommended Rich's ClassicTransport. In a few weeks total, I have my dream car !
The smallest thing (like Andrew recommending this site) can have a MAJOR impact on your life !

If Andrew is the guy who bought Manny Jo's Coupe, he was at the U of PHX Stadium show last Saturday. Car looks good!

Bob, That's him.

I'll be at the show early tonight. It's only going to be 103 degrees.

Ya Mikie is easy to pick out of a crowd. Here is how to pick him out of the crowd, look for? I do not know where he played ball but look for the tallest guy in the bunch. Hard to get him chatting at first (a bit of a waxer). You know the type ....... born a poor black kid in the Chicago area. A liittle stand-offish at first but then starts to chat a bit more after he gets to know ya. Ya... look for the pinkish colored trailer he always tows his car and has a pink hat to match.

If you find that guy it is not the Mikie we all know !!! Well except for the PINK hat anyway
