I'll have an email going out to the group and a posting here in a few days.

We have finalized the hotel, dates etc with AHA. The magazines have been notified.

The Association of Handcrafted Automobiles and the Arizona Cobra Club will be hosting the annual meeting of California, Arizona and Nevada kit cars at the Don Laughlin Riverside Resort in the town of Laughlin, Nevada on the weekend of October 26th & 27th, 2007. This event has been a west coast staple for over 20 years and has become the “end of summer” weekend event for owners, club members and anyone looking for that last fix of nice cars, scenery and friends. Saturday’s show is a participant judged show and shine with awards later that day. Caravan in Friday with friends and make it a weekend of fun by the river.
A group rate is available at the Riverside Resort. Call 1-800-227-3849 and ask for Group Code C\CARCR. The Friday and Saturday rate is $59 plus tax. The rate drops to $32 plus tax on Sunday – Thursday. Please note that the above group code will not work on the Riverside Resort web site.

Also note that the "cut off" date for this group code is September 26th. In other words, reserve your room by the 26th of September.

Hey Dave from Mesa,
I hit a huge rainstorm coming back from Williams this weekend , didn't have my side curtains on and still didn't get rained on...My arms got a little wet but I tucked those in...Thank God for the Coupe styling..No Heat Stroke yet in this car....Looking forward to Laughlin... Dave P.S. The judging is officially back to normal up there in Williams..They had 6 outside judges and I did win one of the Fabulous 15 trophies....It was probably because there were 15 cars entered up there..hehehehhehehehhe...

Cool Trophy

Dave,
Your trophy cost me two beers! I know the guy who handed them out.

Way to go Bill... Always willing to help out.

Show up in Laughlin and I'll replace those beers with interest.

I have a vacation house in Havasu. I might trailer my car to Havasu and drive up or maybe just trailer all the way to laughlin. Anyone know a place up there to park a truck and 20' enclosed trailer up there for the day? I know in the summer boat trailer parking used to be hard to find.

Hi, AZ Boys and Girls!

I plan on getting up the river to Laughlin for this event, I got the application form but have mailed it yet.
This old guy is looking forward to meeting some of the Cobra folks, especially those from AZ . I will be driving my just recently and almost completed Hurricane from Lake Havasu City.
Hopefully the weather will be a bit cooler by then making "hanging out " more fun.
Best Regards and Thanks, Bill (OLD ASP)

How many folks from the valley are planning on going to the river? How many are driving thier cars and how many are trailering them? I notice that the KOOL Custom Classik Kar Show at Ft. McDowell is that same weekend. Does anyone plan on sticking around for that event and maybe running in the poker run?
