Need some help
Hi, Gang...
I have been in the process of planning an overnight run, with the Tucson gang, on Sept. 15th and 16th. The run was to be from Phx to Safford to Alpine on rte 191. Stay the night in either Eagar or Springerville. Leave the next am to Showlow and back to Globe via the Salt river canyon. My problem is that Ginny is having Knee replacement surgery on the 12th. So, I need somebody to ram rod this run or we can postpone until next April. Any takers?? Mike |
Mikiec, Can we move it forward a week or so? I have an elk hunt that starts on the 14th, but I'd really like to make this run.

OK, what's involved in ram-rodding this thing. The carbon car should be here Friday, the engine a week after then a week to install and test drive. It should be ready by Sept. 1
Let me know what I need to do to make it happen. If the car isn't ready I can chase with the Serpent Express to haul home a car if need be. John |
Dan and John...
I have no problem on moving the run a week forward. As far as making this happen... All one needs to do is figure out whether to stay in Eagar or Springerville. I can do all the emailing and organizating the start places and where to meet the Tucson gang. Also, it might be a good idea to pre-run the route to check on fuel stops, rest stops, food stops etc. I should be able to do that if the run is a go. I was planning on doing that either next weekend or the one after. Mike |
I might me interested in a practice run(if you're interested in compnay) if we start really early in the morning. It could be a fun trip..
