Brian, I just don't think PASA is an option, at least in my mind. I know I can get our own run group with a NASA event at PIR or Firebird Main.
Need, bring the lister.

If we want a day we are going to need to make a desision soon before that date is gone. The other thing is if we say yes, I will need to write a check to firebird for the deposit and will be responcible financially for this event.
Food for thought.

So what do we have so far 5-6 want to be race car drivers? Doesn't sound like this is going to happen?
What happened to the 15-20+ people out there? All Trailer Cruisers and afraid of getting dirty?
Trying to wake up some folks! The more we get the less per car! Come on, the worst thing that can happen is you hit the wall/tire, another car; smash your car up a bit; catch on fire; blow your engine up; few small scares here and there?

I haven't been around much, and then I remembered that I asked about this a while ago. Count me in. I can do either date.

Am I going to have any tires left after this day? I've never raced a car before, just SCCA timed events and taking the bike out on the track.

Steve, unless you are using Drag Radials you are fine. Your street tires will take the beating nicely with no real wear. Pump them up a bit for track use. At our level of "racing" even your brakes should be fine. A bit more dust than usual.
As if I know what I'm talking about

Is anyone interested in inviting others to the event to try to keep the cost down?
I have a buddy with a Ferrari that would probably be interested.
Will the track be swept before we head out there?

Are we going to do this or what? If we are, where do I send my deposit?

Mulv, I have really given up on this idea. There are only 5-6 that I feel are commited. There are too many that are pushing running with other groups. I'm not going to take the financial responsability of this event with those kind of numbers.
If we really want to make it happen, I think the way to tell is for everyone interested to send me a check for $100. I will not cash or deposit them until we have 15 people. If we don't get that many then I will ether shread or send the checks back. The time limit on this has to be 2 weeks.

Gordon,
Thank you for taking the time to set this up. Do you have an estimate of the price if we get 15 players?

So by October 15th we need 15 cobra drivers, or we raise the price or cancel, correct? I suppose it will depend on if the dates are open by then, as well.
