Terrible timing for me, Mikie. I'll still b e in Thailand. Wish I could make it. It would be a different ride since the temperatures will be much warmer than the New Years Day runs. I wouldn't need my "looking for a Circle K" ski mask.

Barbara and I will be in Cottonwood Friday (with the Cobra) night leaving Saturday via the back road down Yarnell. What time do you think you will be at the top maybe we can meet at the top and return with you? if not I will try to catch up on the downside......

Who wants to do a hook-up before heading to Wickenburg? I'm at the 51 and Shea Blvd and can meet up there or somewhere on the 101 with anyone coming from the South and East sides.

Got my new shocks from FFR and I'm putting them on tonite. Assuming all goes well, I'm in. I'm planning a test drive to work tomorrow to make sure it's all good.

Well Barbara and I missed everyone at the top of the hill comming the other direction. We saw Fitz and some others on thier way to Prescott, (Wisky row no doubt). We stoped at Johrome (spelling ) and ate breakfast and Barbara went shopping (that is what made us late) But we will see everyone in two weeks at Laughlin!

I think what made you guys late was going the wrong way!
Melissa and I had a great time. After breakfast we went with Steve V. and family to Prescott (ask Steve about his 'roadblock special' move ) and would have hung out with them there except that it had gotten late and we needed to be home by 3 so we stopped for gas and headed down the hill. Great drive, great weather and the car ran well. We did have one small piece of equipment fail. Leaving Sunset Point I hammered on it in 2nd and when Melissa went to readjust her hat she let loose of her cell phone which bounced off the trunk lid and onto the pavement at about 50mph. She had accepted the loss and mostly recovered by the time we got home but is still suffering withdrawls. You're prayers are welcome at this difficult time.

It was nice being up in northern Arizona's wine country. We toured 4 winery's and had a blast going down all of the back roads in the Cobra. We knew it was a long shot met you guys at Yarnell but we gave it a try....

Road block manuver, park Cobra sideways in the road and signal to the driver going 20MPH to pull his slow @$$ over to let the Cobras Pass.
In hind sight, I think the old man thought he was going to be shang-hied (sp) by a young whipper snapper. He was driving so slow, he probably isn't in Prescott yet.
That was a nice ride, and perfect weather!
Steve
