Cloth tonneau cover
Ok guys, I am determined to make some sort of cloth tonneau cover that I can put on the car when it's sitting out all day at work. I have purchased a large sheet of shirt like material and now I need to figure out how to attach it. I only want it to cover the cab, if that's what it's called.
I was thinking about using some sort of grommet that would slip over the studs that the heavy duty top uses. It would not have to fit tightly. The only purpose of the top is to keep the sun and little tree leaves out. Possibly bird ****, as well.
Any ideas?
Steve

Steve, buy a cover..doesn't have to be expensive but something to cover the paint (entire car) ..Sun is really rough on paint out here..you can buy them at Costo, Checker or any of those places ..For the real nice ones go to California Car Covers.. Dave

Steve, check with Bob B. He picked up a really nice car cover that compresses down to about the size of a loaf of bread. A great thing for our "storage challenged" roller skates.

A guy on the FFCobra forum sells a really nice snapless tonneau.
I just use a Miata-sized el cheapo in the shop and for overnights outside.

One of the guys here in Tucson has the Snapless Tonneau Cover on his FFR, it looks good and works very well, he is completely pleased with it. You can email the makers at wpdeal@comporium.net. or phone at 864-895-5035 / 828-675-4507. The price is $170 but sometimes they are on sale for about $115. It is professionally done and looks good. Steve, I sent a PM that may give you some ideas on your project.
We moved a few months ago and had a wonderful experience with our internet provider.
Needless to say we have a new e-mail at wpdeal@gmail.com.
