:d Some People Have Inquired That The City Of Mesa Has Not Yet Approved The Show On Main Street..is This True Or False???? Dave

Don't know David. Lynda told me a week or so ago that she'd met with the powers that be and even the police were cooperative in approving the routes, parking, and the plan in general. So I guess that includes the City of Mesa. Drop Lynda an email and ask her.

One thing we had better do is have some one call and make sure we have qa definite show....It would be terrible to drive all the way over to Mesa and find that it wasn't approved....so someone grab the initiative..Most of the guys that I heard from at the Pavilions say, WE DO NOT HAVE AN APPROVED SHOW BY THE CITY OF MESA FOR THIS NEXT FRIDAY.....DAVE P.S. I know that I won't go unless I hear something positive..... Linda said we are approved to Cruise..What does that mean???

David, Take a chill pill buddy. I'm on top of it. If you're nervous, stay home. It's not going to rain, but that won't stop you will it.. I will be in touch with Linda today and have some answers by this evening.. I've heard lots of things at Pavillions.. like Carroll Shelby only signs Shelby cars.. we all know that's not true, don't we?

Talked to the Mesa Police Department and the Main Street Event has officially been approved for this Friday..... Dave P.S. See you all there....

Is someone sending passes. Do we want to meet somewhere and drive in? I mean the traffic going that way after 3pm on Friday is hell........Then again we did set a heat record today...again.

I heard two weeks ago the show is a go but the cruise part was still in the air. Numerous businesses alone Main will be catering to different clubs to park there. Copperstate has some business that gave them 50+ parking spots. I hear every club will be there. I'm betting over a 1000 cars will be there. I hope it doesn't turn into a big cluster F. I bet mesa PD will be out in force.
Hopefully it will be something like Cruise Off Central.

Actually I was talking with friends who are with Mesa PD. They are behind this thing all the way. There are actual cruise routes that are open all night. Parking places are assigned by club or individual car if that's how they are registered, so there is always the same spot to come back to. I'll post the cruise map tomorrow.

I just hope some idiot doesn't light up his tires down the middle of Main St.....until after I do..

Sounds like a good event. But "all the way over in Mesa"? I didn't realize Mesa was so far from Phoenix.

Well we all know how the cruz on Central ended, I hope this does not go the same way. But it was fun smoking the tires right in front of the Fuzz while it lasted

I liked the signs that the bystanders made for the Police when they finally shut it down, crowd concessus was the same.....

After that person was hit or injured few years back by some idiot who lost control of his car, I seriously question if anyone will be allowed to light up their tires. Too much liability insurance for the city.

Of course you don't want your girl friend or wife driving if her past record involved the following:
[1] running into your garage,
[2] starting your car while in gear or
[3] causing certain individuals to fall down in there front yards trying to help someone get un-stuck? Heee hjhhehhhe
I remember Pink starting his car in reverse and his wife got thrown over the windshield and into their pool. She missed the whole windshield too!
[PS] Never stand up in one of these cars when you start it in reverse.....
