RAIN????????????????

Had not thought about that. It's in the garage but the door needs to be opened and I have to move the Hedgehog ouside. The Hedgehog is still waiting for a new throttle body so it would have to be pushed.

Damn rain... This is the desert damnit.

Yes, I'll postpone if it rains.

Mike,
I should of asked at dinner tonight but forgot. Do you need ramps, jackstands that extend to 28" tall, clutch disc alignment tool etc...? Is the tranny tunnel riveted or did screws get used? I have Klieco's since you sent yours on vacation. How about a tranny jack, let me know

You can borrow my jack. There is a trick to get under the car with it. Gordon did it once. Put the car on a brick and it works fine. I also have two or four, not sure, jacks if you want to borrow.

The heck with the rain... It's a go for Saturday.

Jeff,

I'll call you later today. I could use the 28inch tall stands and the tranny jack.

Mike, how are you going to get the car jacked up to 28 inches? My rather large floor jack (7000lb)only raises to 20 inches. My 7000lb jack stands only raise to 22inches. You are welcome to them. I can bring them over Sat if you need them too.

With all the peeps coming over to help you don't need a jack at all. Just everybody grab a corner and lift.

Mike: I suspect most want to see if I can really get under the car.

Bob: I want to jack this thing up tomorrow and finish the prelim work before Sat. AM.

Steve: Will do. The more the better. That way I'll have more people making fun of me.

Well, in deference to the "old guy", I've decided to postpone the rain for a day. Saturday will be brisk and clear. All in all and ideal day for tranny work.. If you can convince your tranny that he/she needs to be worked on, I'm sure there will be a multitude of help available.

Do you need anything in the way of hard tools.. jack stands, floor jacks, etc?

I have just about everything I need. Paul G. has some special tools for the re-build it's self.

The car goes on Jack stands tonight, and I'll start unbolting stuff.
