Default Memories on Main St. II "Pops Memories"

MOMS II Poster - Club Cobra Photo Gallery

We're doing it again with some minor changes. AZCobras has a sponsor for this event. We will have reserved parking at Kirks Sports Grill on Main St. I already have the COBRA PARKING ONLY signs. We'll have hot food, cold drinks and privies for the ladies.. Mark it on your calendars.

PLease let me know how many to expect and whether you will be there during the day time or in the evening or both. They are going to close Main St. in the evening this time. It will be open for Cruisers only.

Dan....Lorraine and I will be there after 5pm. We'll be taking in a pre-season MLB game that day but it starts about 1pm which should give us plenty of time to get there before the cruise. Should be fun.

I stopped by Kirk's Sports Bar last nite to see the parking situation and check the place out. Looks like parking for about 20 to 25 cars and lots of room for a talk pit. Easy access to Main St. and to Country Club so we should have no problems with the evening cruising. This looks like it might be a good one..

An announcement was made at the East Mesa car show tonight saying that next month's Main Street cruise in is actually going to be on Friday, 03/14 rather than on Saturday the 15th. Danr, will you check with your contact person to verify just when the event will happen?

Dave, We've secured a sponsor. We'll be using the parking lot at Kirks Sports Bar at the west end of Main St. near the Mezona Inn. Seems that the organizers of the event are having some difficulty with the Downtown Mesa Association. I'm not sure of all the details, but some of the things that were indicated may not happen. Such as, they may not be able to close Main St. I spoke with Linda, Friday night and she gave me a short brief on what's going on. It's ugly. I will keep you all informed as I get the information. She did not mention any changes to the date.

Karl, I just got this from Linda.. POP\'s Memories on Main Street is on Saturday, March 15 from noon to 10 PM. My Cruise was moved to Saturday to give people more time to spend (and time to spend money) in Mesa. I thought that was a good thing. Apparently the downtown merchants want a Friday Night Out event and are promoting an unofficial cruise for the night before. Please spead the word... LINDA

She has also asked that if we can determine who is spreading the Friday night information, she would like to know who it is.

Danr, sounds like a little contention going on in Mesa. Since I'm local, and the weather should be great, I'll probably attend both. Definitely Saturday. BTW, I noticed what time you posted and there are lots of tonics that will help with that insomnia. In days gone buy, Old Bushmills was one of my favorites.
