Default A Sunday Drive 2/17

The Pinkster and I are going to hook up at the Fountain Hills Shell Station on Sunday, 2/17 for a cruise up to Globe, the long way. Up the Beeline to rest area 18 miles before Payson. Then up to Roosevelt and over to Globe for a good Mexican food lunch. If Chalo's is closed, I know of one or two other restaurants that have good groceries. The retun drive back down to the valley on the 60 is a fun drive too. Liftoff at the Shell Station about 10. Sound good?

I saw something about a run to Tortilla Flats on 2/16, also. Is that still on?

We could change the Tortilla flats run for this one, if everybody wants. Or we can do both.

Do I need to get an email out?

I'd prefer the Sunday run. Busy the Saturday before. An e-mail would probably reach some people that don't watch the site closely. Thanks.

Let's do Sunday. It's supposed to be warmer on Sunday anyway.. I hate to see Karl when he's cold.

Karl, Let's put some pressure on Ol' Dave and see if we can get him away from his TV. Standard Station at Brown and Ellsworth about 9:00??

Email was sent out, changing the Saturday Tortilla flats run to the Sunday Globe run.

Danr, The Standard station sounds fine. Note, its NEXT Sunday, 02/17. see you there about 9 ish. It might finally be getting warm enough, but not too warm, for Dave and Judy to get their car out. Probably won't even start after laying dormant for so long. ha.

I'm sure it will start.
Hopefully our road will be pounded down for me to get the car out. It took a real hit these last few storms.

What do you think Karl? Does that sound like an excuse?

Dave, I hope your street gets fixed so you can come and play.

Kinda sounds like Mesa Dave's getting his ducks in a row for not going on the run. At least he back must be better or he's found the really good pills. He's not using that excuse, this time.

Cool

I wonder if Dave and Dave are sharing pills.. If Judy wants to go and Dave doesn't/can't/won't, Linda has offered to drive Dave's car so Judy can go with her.

Thumbs up Sounds Good

We should be there, it is supposed to be nice on Sunday. Great day for a little run. My brother-in-law, snowbird from Halifax, Nova Scotia, says he might like to do the run too, in his PT Cruiser convertible. We'll give him a map and say..."See ya there"
Hey Dave ya gotta come, if I can make it from this side of town, YOU HAVE NO EXCUSE!
Have a good one....or two....ah go ahead .......have three

jbond, There should be a good turnout this Sunday for our ride to Globe. If you want to show up at the Shell Station on Shea, just north of the Beeline, I'm sure you could try on a variety of cars. We'll be leaving about 10.

Who else from the east valley is going on this adventure? Is anyone going to meet us at the Standard/Chevron station on Ellsworth and Brown at 9:00 AM or will Karl and I have to shift for ourselves?

Dan & Karl, I am stripping out all of the unused computer wiring and the Cobra won't start now. I have been pluging in the plugs that I removed in hopes that I can find the problem. I am planing to join you guys at Ellsworth and Brown at 9:00am. John PS. Wish me luck.
