Default What should I call my car??

My Cobra (when I build it, aug 2009) Is not going to have any original CS parts. Not even an aluminum body, just fiberglass shaped like a Cobra..........
What should I call it
No fair suggesting piece of ****

Seriously what do we all call these glorious machines we drive and/or dream about??

I think only the ones built by C.S. ,Either then or now, can be called Cobras.

What about the scratchbuilders like FasterPatrick, what do we call their cars?

I wonder if CS trademarked the nickname for the flip top -- "The Turd".

Been a few ChevyShelby's around and even a couple of Cobrapars.. or maybe even a Cobray or two. Why don't you just call your car RALPH? A very noncommittal, name that does not point to any specific origin. Ralph the KitCar. It has a certain ring to it.

Is it too late to suggest Half Asp? I think that's what I'll call mine.
But Ralph is good too...

Ralph's Car or ???? i LIKE IT. I have been the Corvette NCRS path and not for me in the end but these are some very Hard Core dedicated folks. The Cobra community has the true restorers or builders too and more power to them.

I build a Hot Rod car and no intent to precisely copy the original but what a Sexy body and mind set!!! HeyLittle came as close as any I have heard with "beautiful b!tch...." Ralph the beautiful b!tch.... just does not work though.

Mark,
These cars don't break maybe get dirty but most of the down time is cause your putting some new part on under the catch all phrase upgrades

Jeff, Would you please come and tell the POS (b!tch) in my garage that it's not supposed to break! It obviously is unaware of that.

Who in the east valley rebuilds Demon carbs?

(Only a POS until I fix it.. Then it's back to being a great joy and pleasure)

Danr,
If it a Holley knock off ..... mmm let me guess. Is one off the floats sticking? What is she doing that is giving you problems? Blowm power valves are pretty much a thing of the past and cool enough that vapor lock is probably not a problem.??

It accelerates great. When I try to cruise at a fixed speed, it's all over the place. Backfires, pulses, then settles down and runs fine for a while. Main issue is when I jump on it and then back off and try to cruise.

Dan,
Check your float levels. Have you made any changes that coincide with the problems or did it just start this one day? If No changes to the system I'll bet you have a POS floating in & out of the needle n seat. If it was low fuel levels it would be best at cruise and give grief when you needed reserve levels of gas.

Dan,
If a bad and not just sticking it would flood over period and puke out the bowl vent tubes & kill the engine. Pull the needle and seats out and look for a piece of crap. If your lucky it will come out when you pull the seat. If you can not find it you need to pull apart and go looking for it. Check your fuel pressure just as a sanity point but intermittent high pressure is not the normal failure mode. call me at 602 402 8504 if you have ?'s

Its my car, and I'll call it anything I want. Old Shel may have a beef if its in print, but not on my vocal chords.

Its a COBRA

Of course, then I usually mention that its a fiberglass replica of a 65 Shelby Cobra. Accept all the oohs and ahhs, and drive away happy.

Warren, What's up? YOu don't like RALPH?

Mikie, you may be right. I'll have to ask her about that tonight!

THanks Jeff. I'll try that. I'll call if it doesn't work.
