Default Touring Az in my Cobra

I am guessing 350 + miles a day is stupid in a Cobra?
I have lived in AZ 8 years and I have not seen the state.
After I get home and build mine (aug2009)
I want to take the time to look around.
I bet the Grand Canyon is out??

Why is the Grand Canyon out? Been to the LA are a few times, northern Cali once and to and from Laughlin and LV. Think most of them is over 350 miles. Only time will tell once you build it if you can drive that far.
Enjoy

Smile Long hauls

I think you can do 350 miles a day in a Cobra. Seven hours averaging 50 miles per hour. The seat is very important. I had my seat built by a local upholstery shop. He added lumbar support and extra padding in the front part of the seat. Extra support for you legs. I have a bad knee so I have a cloth soccer ball that I use to support my right knee on the trannie tunnel on long trips. Position your pedals, seat and steering wheel for the long trips. We drive 530 miles every year to the LCS in one night, well 12 to 14 hours. Coach and Lainhart have to stop and eat every two hours.

I did Just over 900 Miles in one day coming home from DVSF II, I would have done about 1050 miles that day but I had got a bad load of gas in New Mexico and ended up changing my drive belt as well. I had started in Tulsa OK. and made it to Winslow AZ. Just got to fine a comfortable position and have the will to stick to it.

Didn't someone get stopped for wearing a full face helmet here in AZ?
