Default Gasket Help Discontinued VR # 95074

Fellow Cobra owners/friends I am in desperate need to locate some intake gaskets manufactured by Victor Reinz (Dana) for my 429SCJ. The discontinued part number is 95074 and I am not sure when they stopped manufacturing these gaskets but they are the only ones that seem to hold up on my motor. And yes, I have tried the others but the composite makeup of the VR gasket’s seemed to be the best.

If anyone has a lead on a set, or a couple of sets of these intake gaskets I would really appreciate it. I have tried the local parts stores and even called VR which has zero inventory. I was hoping that there might be some over seas or stashed in someone’s part store somewhere.

Please contact me with any information on these gaskets as I am trying to get my motor back together.

Thanks in advance,
Brian

Brian, I put on VR #95109SG gaskets from NAPA. They list your motor as a fit. They fit my CJ heads perfect. I tried felpro but fit was lousy.
Hope this helps.

All thanks, I will try the other part numbers that are listed. I did manage to locate 1 set of the gaskets that I was looking for so hopefully I will not make any mistakes. They had to order them thru carquest and should be here in a day or two.

Mikec how do we get the discount at carquest? Tell them we are with the AC cobra gang??? (most likely be arrested at that point!)

Brian, just tell them you get a 10% group discount for being member of the Arizona Cobras. Their District Manager Scott McClain is a member.

Well no luck, they could not get them in...

Cal Bullet can you give me the number to the store where you just purchased these?

I have the Ford SVO SCJ heads with the 2.60 X 2.24 ports, my intake is port matched so it gets tricky on the gaskets that I use.

Thanks for the help....

BP I called the CarQuest at 955 Fee Drive 916 489-1550 in Sacramento. I think any CarQuest should be able to supply you.

ask for Clint

Mel,
Thanks again, the trick was to add the "SG" to the end of the part number and then they were comming out of the wood work. Clint was able to check the AZ inventory from CA and located 3 sets right away...

Thanks again,

Brian

OK I have Gaskets in hand! Thanks for the help, now all I need is my rings from Total seal and I will be in business. I painted the block on Sunday with POR15 high temp engine enamel and boy does it shine! I can't wait to get this beast back together it has been 3 months since I last drove her at PIR.

We WILL see everybody at Route 66, #381

Brian
