Thank You For helping My Brother, Stuart
To everyone who helped my brother Stuart this morning, my family and I want to Thank You!!!! I am sure without he would have died if it had not been for your quick actions. You are all in our prayers. I just got off the phone with him. He is in good spirits and is doing well. The surgury for his hand has moved back another hour to around 10:00pm. Other than that he seems to be fine. No internal injuries or head injuries. (Thank God he has a hard head) He has been moved to a hospital room. He is lamenting the damage to his car. After looking at the pictures, he is lucky to be alive. I am thinking the lady in the SUV had better have alot of insurance. I am so grateful that he was with you this morning and not driving alone. God Bless you!!

Hi Vicki:
Can you let us know which hospital he is in? Can he have visitors - We were first there and he didn't look good - it is very good to hear that he doesn't have any more serious injuries than his hand. Hopefully that surgery goes well!
If you could let us know which hospital, room, visitor's hours etc it would be appreciated.
Thanks
Bev

Vicki, I don't think "HARD" comes anywhere close to describing Stuart's head or his neck. He is a lucky man.. We are all very lucky. We wish him a quick recovery.

Everyone, I have been reading the posts to Stuart and he is very moved. He looking to buy a new car, are there any deal out there???? He is at the Scottsdale -Osborne hospital. We will not know how long he will be there until after his surgery so right now we are not sure about visitors. But he can have calls just ask for Sturat Price (632). I will keep you posted as much as I can. He is trying to get on the internet as we speak. He says with a club that watches your back like this one does, he will never go anywhere else.

We can find one for him!
Vicki,
Please pass along that many of us who see Stuart every year at the Bash in Sparks, Nevada that we are thinking of him and his recovery. He is one of those characters of the "1st year originals" we look forward to returning each year. Please let him know to contact me, or you can contact me if he needs anything to get there or be there if that is even remotely possible car or no car we want him there if he can make it.
I know he is disappointed about the car, but any car guy knows it can also be an adventure and part of the recovery process to locate and obtain the new Cobra.
What's great about this story is he is alive, doing better, and he is already looking forward to getting another car. All good signs for us our here reading your thread.
I just received an email from another gentlemen today who just had a quadruple heart bypass, and he is recovering and working to get his car and himself in order to come to the Bash as well. His story blew me away, and here Stuart is already looking to find his next Cobra the same day of the incident. Wow, these guys are troopers.
When Stuart is really ready to find his new Cobra, say the word, there are a lot of member resources here on ClubCobra to locate one for him. I've found several Cobras for friends and colleagues and would like you to pass along my message to you that if he tells us what we wants, we can probably find one for him, and would like to help however we can.

I only joined this forum just over a year ago, so I am a relative newbie. Without getting too maudlin, or quoting the words to "Kumbaya", I just want to say that having read every entry on this thread (and the other related threads), I am always impressed at how close everyone is in this strangely-related "Cobra community" that we share.
The outpourings of care, consideration and concern are genuine and come from all over the country. Those of us that don't even know Stuart or the other unfortunate and unwilling participants in today's accident STILL feel a kinship, a sense of shared regret and both the need and capacity to express those concerns in this forum.
It is a heartening display of what human relationships can (and SHOULD) be, and I would like to add my remote, but understanding, sympathies to those of everyone else.
Stuart, to you and your family, I wish you the quickest of recoveries, the joys of your search for your next Cobra, and my sympathies and empathies for your pains, your tribulations and your loss of a fabulous vehicle.
The Cobra can INDEED be replaced, but your spirit survives!
be safe, be well and heal quickly!
Regards and best wishes
Glyn Meek

Hello,
I just wanted to post a quick update. Stu had his first hand surgery late last night. He is doing well. He has another scheduled for later today. The doctor's are hoping he will be released soon after and will not have to spend another night there. I have passed along your messages and well wishes. He is very grateful to all of you and knows that he is truley blessed to be part of such an awesome group of people.
Thank you
Vicki

Vicki,
Thanks for the updates on Stu. Tell him we are all thinking about him and hoping he will make a quick recovery. It was scary for all of us there trying to get him free of those damn cables. I can tell you this, as a family we are all a lot closer today because Stu made it through the accident and will be OK. I was amazed of how quickly the club members were on top of him moving the car and the cables. We even had other motorist joining in the recovery. I look forward to seeing Stu in his new car. By the way, tell Stu that this will give him the opportunity to make all the changes or improvements (we all have them) and let someone else pay the bill. I'm sure I speak for the entire AZ Cobra family when I say, we stand ready to help Stu build a new or buy a new Cobra so he can join our next cruise. Route 66 in May?????? Take care buddy.
